Boom Tube Comics — Local services in Southington

Had a GREAT experience at Boom Tube comics. My daughter want to start reading My Little Pony comics and I decided to bring her to her 1st comic book store to pick some out. Luckily for me that store was closer to home than I thought. Not too far from 84 and right off the Meriden Waterbury Turnpike in Milldale. We checked out Boom Tube on our way home from Mothers Day brunch. As one person mentioned in an earlier review, Boom Tube leaves out older issues of in production comics so that you have more of an opportunity to pick up issues you may have missed. This will be very beneficial to me if my daughter continues reading comics as we dont get the chance to make it out as soon as a new issue is released. The owner was VERY personable and immediately looked to assist us with our experience. He even started up a conversation about the latest MLP releases. He also recommended which ones we should get including the team up of Transformers and My Little Pony (Got to love Hasbro). We will back again to buy more comics and it may become a regular place for us too. The 8 comics that we got will give us a good start!...

First time into Boomtube and I have never felt so unwelcome in a business in my life. I brought my son with disabilities in to look at tshirts and the store associate, with the most aggressive and overbearing manner, made it very clear he didn't have time for us and did not want my son near his shirts. I've never experienced a more embarrassing situation, the store was full of customers and this man yelled out to us from across the store not to touch his tshirts and walked away shaking his head. He absolutely humiliated me and I'm a Southington resident. Maybe he was having a bad day but now my son is having a worse one. As a local store that is always at risk of being outcompeted by larger stores or online retailers, one would think someone would be exercising some sensibilities here. Just stopped by Boom Tube Comics for the first time to pick up a gift for my niece that loves Miles Morales. The shop was very cool with a great selection of comics, figures, and trading cards.

Found a Miles statue she’s going to LOVE and I even managed to find a few things for me to fill my midlife crisis/childhood nostalgia craving lol.

Chatted with Dan while I was there and he was very cool! I mentioned my wife has a graphic novel being published soon and he gave me his business card as he likes to support local artists. If you’re from or even in the area, I totally recommend...
