I stopped by this location to pick up food for my friend and me on new year’s day. We don’t eat fast food often but we weren’t feeling like going out to a real restaurant. Let me preface by saying Wendy’s is an option that we generally like when we do fast food however. We were staying at a motel less than a mile away from Wendy’s store 12595 Sparks, NV. We had not eaten all day. We ordered a chicken sandwich combo (large) and a chicken wrap combo (medium) totaling $21.25. I picked up the order and drove immediately back to the motel to eat (less than 5 minutes away). We were both starving. When I opened the bag in the motel room, I immediately noticed the large fries were half full and everything in the bag was ice cold. Complete garbage (food). It drives me crazy when I order food that is cold and obviously has been sitting for some time. But I was starving and ate some of it… until we could not stand to stomach any more of a tasteless meal I had paid over $20 for. I mean, Wendy’s advertises their food (fries and burgers) will be served fresh and hot…right? The more I attempted to eat the crap they’d served me, the more I was incensed. So I threw what I had not eaten in the bag and drove back to the store to voice my complaint/displeasure (which is the last thing i wanted to do…go back outside). So I got back to the store and asked to speak to the manager. I told her that I was not satisfied with the quality of the food. It was ice cold - complete garbage. She took a look and said the food was partially eaten…we should have brought it back immediately and uneaten. When I told her it was cold, tasteless (old and stale) and unacceptable her tone immediately became defensive and contentious with me and argued that the food served is always fresh and hot! BS! She basically told me I was lying and trying to cheat for another meal! You really think I would have driven back if that was the case? She told me I could speak to the manager in the morning if I wished and she kept the bag - never offering to make it right with a new order of fresh and hot food she claimed they served. So I spent over $20 for food that we were unable to finish and still hungry! Complete garbage! Shame on the staff and ownership for not making the customer experience a priority. This place is the worst (fast food) experience I’ve ever had. I’d advise anyone to stay clear of this place. It’s a complete ripoff and the customee service is a joke. In fact, I’m so incensed about it I’m lodging a formal complaint to Wendy’s corporate and I sincerely hope I don’t get any lip service about how sorry they are and we’ll try to do better next time! If so, there will be no next time as I’ll never choose Wendy’s again...
Read moreDo not waste your time to go to this Wendy's ever. The management is rude and does not know how to treat customers. Went through the drive thru and ordered just the Jr frostys because ALL 3 of us have the key chains that I bought us. So I ordered 2 chocolate Jr frostys and 1 vanilla Jr frosty. That woman taking the order got an attitude with me, and we pulled up to the window. She looked at me and acted like we didn't have the key chains they offer for 3 dollars to get one free jr Frosty whenever you want in 2024. She said you have to show me all three of the key chains so I show her my best friends and mine and my other friend hols up his up in the back seat and she tells me if I don't hand her our key chains that we can not get them. So that so-called manager "Nanny" tells me that I could have them only if I pay for all 3 of them because I would not hand her my 3 key chains. She looks at me and tells me either you pay $1.37 for each one or get out of my drive thru. I asked her what her problem was. She tells me that I have to put all three of our key chains in her hand because she that we were lying about having 3 key chains. Even though we showed each one to her, she said no, so I paid for them for each one, and she handed me my change and started handing me 2 vanilla Jr frostys and 1 chocolate one. So I asked her if she could understand what I ordered. So I was upset and told her my order was louder at the window to her face . I was on the wrong, but she told me that if I did give her my key chains that she wasn't going to give them back to us. She told me I was not allowed back to her restaurant. I tried calling corporate, and when I called, they said sorry that I called after hours to please call back during regular hours. So I called the next day, and they put me on hold for 35 minutes. Don't waste your time and money at a subpar fast food place here in...
Read moreUsing a phone while preparing the food was just one complaint. The rude behavior from the first window and when I thought all was done they forgot to put my chili fries I ordered in my order. I simply was asking for them and your manager to get my chili fries he refused, I asked for corporates number he refused I asked for his boss he refused. He sat and encouraged his employees to video tape us knowing I just complained about the very employees preparing my food using their phones and one of the many issues that Wendys needs to handle. Im an Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom veteran. I have NEVER in my 40 years of being alive have experienced such HORRIBLE SERVICE and putting the public in direct harm while on their phones no gloves preparing food. ITS COVID19 FOR CHRIST SAKE. Im sure you know about it. Your employees do not seem to understand the severity of our situation as a country. Your management encouraged these employees to act out with profanity.
I was called by the General Manager and apologized to. He did offer to replace the meal but I didn’t trust it. He did make it right and I’m thankful for him. He also agreed after watching the video he was speechless because in the 35 years in fast food he said he had never seen something like that.
I did return to try the food and customer service about three months later. The burger was cold, fries had been sitting out and stale but customer service improved. These restaurants need to understand QUALITY over QUANTITY. That’s what makes...
