This review is not to bash the place I'm glad there is a sushi place near me. But my first impression is it's a clean friendly place I understand it's new and still learning. But honestly I go to the Chinese buffet 5 miles away on 50. and the sushi is better and it's a buffet. I ordered 2 California rolls 1 spicy tuna roll and 1 spicy salmon roll to go and I received 2 dime sized drops of wasabi for 24 rolls and 6 ginger leaves in the 2 containers and no soy sauce. I asked for extra of all and was charged for it. Went home to enjoy and the California rolls were plane and bland the spicy was ok but the rice was horrible it was hard like under cooked or it sat in the refrigerator for 8 hours anyone one eats sushi often knows what I mean. My suggestion is to the owner hier a real chef and charge more money us locals want quality and will pay for it. The employees I see look like young kids that have no idea what they are doing. It's not an ice cream shop it's a sushi restaurant. I was excited about a sushi place near me at first I was sadly let down. I'm going to return in a month and see if it improves. If not I'll continue getting to go seafood at the buffet for 699 a lb.. again up your price and keep things fresh thanks good luck on...
Read moreOur server Nikki was excellent. Food is good for the price. Rice could be cooked longer and have more flavor. Steak was perfectly cooked. Very nice place to eat until I went to use the ladies room and saw a roach. I know they had there inspection in November 2019 and got a 100% score. So from then to know they may have a roach problem. Overall I would go back again.
So today Monday I decided to stop in for lunch, which is my 2nd time dining at Fuji to get it to go and I ordered the steak hibachi with vegetable fried rice, which was recommended by a friend to do, since I think the rice is just bland. There was a $2.00 upcharge but I was fine with it. Once again my steak was cooked perfectly and so much rice, but everything was delicious. I didn't get all the vegetables the entree was suppose to come with, but I am not complaining. I ate it at noon and I just finished the rest. Yummy is all I can say. I will most likely stick to the hibachi for dinner only and get chinese take out for lunch. This is my new favorite Japanese take out or dine in that is worth my drive from the Ridge Manor area. I thought E sushi was good, Fuji is much more affordable for my wallet and the food...
Read moreFirst time here and the prices are so affordable we wanted to try ALL THE THINGS! We ordered both the miso and clear soups, as the hibachi lunches and dinners do not include soup. They were only $1.50 per bowl. The miso has spinach and tofu, while the clear soup is what you'd expect from a typical hibachi place with mushrooms and scallions. The soup was good, as were the salads with ginger dressing. Next, we had a Red Dragon Roll (my favorite thing there) - which has shrimp tempura, avocado, and cucumber and is topped with spicy tuna. I think I would come here JUST for this. So good! I asked for extra spicy mayo and sriracha on the side to give it an extra kick. Finally, we had steak hibachi with noodles and steak and scallop hibachi. The hibachi meals come with the salad, rice, veggies, and one side of yum yum sauce. Noodles are an upcharge. Everything was very good, my only suggestion is that they make the yum yum sauce a little less sweet. Overall, GREAT value...
