Very good wholesome delicious food but way too small portions for the price. I tried Beach Burritos for a fourth time and remembered why we go there only about once a year. When I walked out and looked in the bag at the burrito size, the first thought that came to my mind was "It's a joke!" I got their Thursday special with a side of rice for $4.72, including tax, but needed 4 times that amount to fill up -which would be $19 worth!
I really don't mind skimping on the meat and actually prefer that when the price is right and it's whole grain! But it's triple the price of Taco Bell for equivalent value and 3/4 the value of Qdoba -which has nicer ambiance AND whole grain wraps! So, Butch's is not great value.
Even if they could just double their portions, we'd be there all the time. They need to talk with the owner of the Fruitport ice cream shop to learn his story -for it's the opposite joke! The irony is that the owner tripled his profit by doubling the quantity! They also might want to relocate to the Ace plaza across the street or closer to the...
Read moreLong time resident of the area. Always liked Butch’s. I have noticed a decline every year for the past few years. Today was so terrible that I had to write a review. The guacamole and chips were bad. Guacamole was dead and they gave you about 2 small scoops. Threw it away because it was so bad. Also had a chips and bean dip. Bean dip was terrible as well. I’m assuming they have changed vendors because it tastes nothing like it did previously. My Wife and I split a Beef and Bean burrito with 3 alarm sauce. Essentially no sauce, no flavor, and mostly packed with lettuce and no substance. This was the last visit for me as it only seems to get worse. I will never suggest this place to anyone. It’s sad because at one time it...
Read moreFirst time here. Very friendly and welcoming staff, and the food came out quickly. Unfortunately, we found the reviews about the burritos are true - they are mostly lettuce and hardly any meat. For $10, the value and quality just aren’t there for the customer. It was the type of food that should be at the $5 price point for a quick grab and go at a good value. The chicken burrito tasted oddly sweet which wasn’t to our liking, but that may be the medium salsa we chose. We will try again in the future - the kind staff and quick service earned another visit - but if the other items on the menu are the same, we won’t return a third time. A burrito at a full service Mexican restaurant is just a dollar more but much...
