Legacy Rolls — Restaurant in Spring Lake

I Dine here often, but upon hiring new workers and lack of experience with cooking I got food poisoning from this place. They served me an undercooked pink burger, and although the restaurant staff was very nice about the situation unfortunately it was too late! I was vomiting and diarrhea all night and unfortunately had to go to the hospital and they confirmed it was food poisoning testing my stool and vomit. I am very disappointed because one small mistake cause really change the view on things. Please check your burgers to make sure they are cook. I order 4 burgers and all were very pink and cold in the inside. Also my fries were drenched in oil

UPDATE: instead of the owner taking accountability and apologizing for me and my 8 year daughter being in the hospital on fluids, he began debating with me saying that they “ served high quality ground beef” he wasn’t remorseful at all, unfortunately it doesn’t matter how HIGH of quality the ground beef is, if the beef isn’t COOKED TO THE correct internal temperature you can STILL BECOME sick, I called him while I was at the hospital with my 8 year and offered to let the physician speak to him, he was very rude and talking over me which is unfortunate. I was looking for a handout only to bring attention to the matter because the next person may not be too kind...

Yesterday, I decided to have breakfast and dine in at Legacy Rolls. What a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. My meal was absolutely awesome. I chose the delicious sweet potatoe fries, a couple sliders and coffee. I sat on the other side in their coffee shop away from the entrance door. It was clean, cozy and listening to the music was an extra added bonus. I've only visited a few times but so far, I have been pleased choosing Legacy Rolls. I've had their rolls and they are delectable. I purchased a half dozen. They make their rolls fresh daily. The pork belly slider...phenomenal, the catfish sliders... were tasty although they could have been bigger. The purple cabbage coleslaw....excellent. If this was sold as a side, I would definitely buy the large container. The house lemonade...Great. My kids have had the cinnamon rolls and love them. They also sell their T-Shirt. The staff is friendly and the cashier was on point, attentive, kind and pleasant. It's nice to have a dine-in spot in town where the food is tasty. Suggestion... since your rolls are Soooo Good... Maybe, you could put a HOT light on or Ring a bell during the time when YOUR ROLLS are HOT and just popped out of the oven... Thanks Legacy Rolls for choosing Spring Lake. The guy that took my order today 8/20/25 was extremely nice and seemed thoughtful. However, when you have to pay for meals and ( nothing is cheap these days) you don’t play around with your food or whatever it is. I came here to grab something new to try and I was EXTREMELY disappointed by the time I got home. I just knew my fish was going to be CRISPY and hot. I was in shock! I had to completely throw away both meals , even the fries!!! The slimy silver and UNCOOKED fish was extremely (fishy) with that nasty fishy slimy taste and I tried giving it to my dog and he ate AROUND the smelly part. Yes, it’s seafood and should smell like fish but if you know how good fish should be then that’s that but this place is not. I really wanted to come back but I am so annoyed and angry about this experience.

I won’t tell anyone not to go here because I believe in second chances I’m just to upset to take one again after I spent our lunch money for today w/ no lunch. Guys, please do better if you want this establishment to prosper. Down below is what a fish dinner SHOULD look like…. But THIS is what I paid for and I just cried because today was a rough day...
