Mi Casita Spring Lake — Restaurant in Spring Lake

Usually I would love this place but today's experience was the worst I treated myself to a birthday dinner with my son and aunt no introduction was given no being sat to a table I requested for a pitcher of an slushed drink because IT'S MY BIRTHDAY. and I guess the manager was mad about that cause you can hear from the back "it'll be 27.99 and if they don't like it there's no changing it " I know what I like so that wouldn't be a issue with me no takes back this alcohol going down, my cheese and bean dip was watered down for sure, the waitress kept bringing the wrong stuff to the table, my son had put in his order with his drink exactly what he wanted do you think the waitress put the order in no she comes back and ask what he wants again so like kids do the order changes. I had a long day and when I have to keep correcting I tend to "take a tone" so instead I kept quiet( shut down). It wasn't until I was leaving that there was an ounce of customer service given. Mi Casita! Haven't had the pleasure of being in your presence for a few years, but nothing has changed meaning that everything has stayed so good! A few coworkers and I decided to visit here today for lunch and we were positively overwhelmed by the great service and delicious food! I decided to get the taco salad which was a little small, but packed full of flavor. It came topped with beans, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The flavors mixed together were just powerful and so good! I topped it with a little bit of their chipotle sauce that had just the right amount of heat to just slightly tickle my senses!

My coworkers loved their food as well! All we could talk about was how stuffed we were because of the amazing food! Having a round of margaritas, sangria, and chips and salsa did not hurt either! The waiter checked on us regularly and they were practicing social distancing by spacing and wiping down every table after a group left. Despite all of this it did not take much time at all for us to be seated and get our food.

I have visited several Mi Casita locations but I was not pleased with this one. I have ordered to go from here but this was the 1st time dining in and it will be our last. They were short staff so I tried to be understanding but my patience was running thin. They seated us and got our drink order. Drinks came and we still sat waiting to order. First then EVERY Mexican restaurant give you is chips and salsa which we finally had to ask for. Once that came we had to ask if someone could take our order. We ordered a sampler appetizer (it was below average) which came out quickly but weren't given any plates to put out food on. We had to wait for someone to come by again so we could ask for plates AND silverware. Their margaritas are usually good but the peach taste like straight juice. I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking and I felt absolutely nothing from that drink. At this point, I just wanted the check and to get the heck out of there.
