I waited literally one hour and twenty-two minutes for a drink and a sonic blast, and that's only because I gave up asking staff at least twice and stood in front of the door. Even then, someone looked me dead in the eye when I called out to them and walked past me as if I wasn't there. I watched people who came in an hour after I had been there, place an order for two drinks when the person on the speaker told me five minutes before that they weren't taking any more orders on speaker, made one complaint about the status of their drinks, and still get their drinks after 20 minutes being there, while I'm still waiting for mine.
I know they were slammed with Doordash orders and on a Friday night - I had already accounted for that when I came up. But this level of negligence is absurd, especially when I made the order over on the Sonic app and had informed people directly when the drink and blast haven't arrived. In fact, this location has a serious staff and/or management issue - they can't make and bring out a simple drink within few minutes. It takes nobless than twenty most days I put in one drink order, even when the lot was completely empty, save for maybe one or two cars in drive through I couldn't see. And whenever I inquire about my order, the person responding tells me "We're short staffed" or "It's just me in here" while I'm looking at at least two staff members wandering outside or on break (this happens so often here that I'm starting to think they don't even check online orders at all).
The thing that really galled me yesterday, though, is that at a quarter til 11pm no one seemed that bothered I had been waiting since 9:38 for a drink and a blast. No apologies, no free item slips, no refunds, not even the courtesy to lie. Passed over, ignored, forgotten, and no one could even pretend to be concerned.
So, no more. Not going back to the Spring Lake location anymore. I'm officially done...
Read moreShort version: if you want to wait a very long time to receive the wrong order with a massive dose of disappointment, this is the place to go. Long version: Some friends and I went here after dinner to quickly grab some drinks before a road trip. Pulled up to a stall and pressed the button to order. After waiting 10 minutes, no one had answered so we decided to go to the drive through. We ordered quickly, 5 drinks $15. There was one other person in the drive through. After waiting another 10 minutes for the 1 car in front of us, we pulled up to the window to pay. Much to our surprise they asked ,"What did you order?". The driver politely repeated our order. Another 2-3 minutes pass. They came back and told us our total, which seemed a bit high, so we politely confirmed our order one more time. 5 minutes pass and we strongly consider just leaving and being done with the whole thing. The window opens again and they repeat the total. We give them our card. 3 more minutes pass, they hand us our drink order and we drive away, excited to have our refreshing beverages. Little did we realize that only 1 of the drinks was correct. Less than impressed. Note: I understand that there may have been a situation that was beyond the employees control that I was unaware of. I do not blame them for my bad experience, but whatever the case this is a review of my experience...
Read moreThis place does not live up to the normal Sonic hype. The carhop we typically have good food and service with. However the drive thru each time has been very unprofessional. Today we ate at the carhop and were greeted quickly and nicely with a correct order. However we decided we wanted shakes and went through the drive thru after eating. Intially we had to speak into the speaker to get someone to take our order. Next the employee seemed to be preoccupied and kept repeating our order incorrectly. Then asked if our order on the screen was correct but she hadn't been entering our items and did not respond back when we informed her our items were not visible. Next we pull up to the drive thru and the employee clearly was having a conversation while we were sitting there waiting to pay. Once opening the window she repeated the wrong items once again and we mentioned we asked for something else while she responded with "ohh my gosh really" shut the window to speak with another employee about the mistake. The other employee came over to figure out what happened we told her what we ordered and she shut the window. Once they came back we told them if they were already made it was fine.
