I once thought McDonald's sold a bad cheeseburger, though I like them. Now I have found a "horrible" burger and I did not like them. I paid $5.99 for the worst and thinnest patty in the world, I'm thinking 40% soy 40% beef and 20% other?? No lettuce. No tomato. What looked like the saddest pickle on earth in the center, no mayo or mustard!! $5.99!!! Plus I ordered The "Chicken Drummies" these are Chicken wings or should I say "chick" wings, the smallest wings in the world for $7.99 for 5 wings, that comes out to $1.59 per tiny wing...ha, ha, ha, I guess it is right by the side of the road so this can be classified as highway robbery!! $2.99 for a 16 oz. drink, and that almost didn't happen, as they weren't sure the watered down Pepsi machine was working...and that would bring my two orders of fries to around $3.76 per order of badly cooked pre frozen fries from a bag!!! Over $24.00 for this slop!!! And you have people going to prison for armed robbery, here it is voluntary robbery.... I guess the rich and fine folk around here do not care if one of their own ripps em off like they do here. I have been a poor man all my life, but rarely have I been swindled like I was today, horrible, very bad quality food, for very over priced pricing!!! You would think, this guy is less than 3 minutes from U.S.Foods and other major restaurant food suppliers all around Minneapolis, WHY OH WHY is her purposefully selling this dribble at these ridiculous prices!!! Horrible!!! I'll buy from the gas station from now on, they have better quality beef patties and 100% beef hotdogs, cheaper drinks too!! The "chick" wings here are the exact same ones you get at Walmart , only difference is, at Wal-Mart when you pay $7.99 for wings, you get about a pond and a half of these exact wings!!! Minnetonka Drive-In, you failed on so many fronts and so...
Read moreMy review is about the PEOPLE of Minnetonka Drive-In. Back in June of 2023, I lost a valuable award ring (monetarily and sentimental). Because we had been on an international trip when I first discovered it missing, Iassumed it was lost on the trip. I prayed my obligatory 13 Hail Mary's, and over time figured this time my prayers would be unanswered. We love to attend Thursday Night Roll-In with our C-8 Corvette and admire all the cars vintage and new. Visiting with other car buffs is so interesting, as car guys and gals are very passionate about their wheels. On Thursday, August 17, I was ordering our chicken dinner at the inside counter, when I looked up and THERE WAS MY RING on the shelf by the window! I shouted, "That's my ring!" The young lady serving me yelled to the other high school-aged staff, "HEY, THE RING BELONGS TO THIS MAN!" They ALL cheered in amazement! These kids were genuinely happy the ring was returned to its owner! They said it had been there all summer! Isn't that beautiful? Beautiful that whoever found it, turned it in. Beautiful that management and young staff kept it dutifully displayed on that shelf in plain view for three months! This speaks so highly of the ethics which runs deeply through the team at Minnetonka Drive-In and their patrons, especially the Thursday Night Crowd. Thank you all again for your honesty and integrity. Ronaldo Machtan,...
Read moreI'm leaving my post from 9 months ago and adding to my review. I went there tonight 6/21/23 The chicken dinner was the special tonight so i thought i would try it (again). It was $9 dollars for one drumstick that was the size of a wing and a thigh that was very small also. This was supposed to be a dinner. There was some soggy fries and small container of coleslaw. I will say that the cole slaw is good but for 9 dollars??!!! So the total cost for 2 regular cheeseburgers (which were so so) 1 corndog, 1 order of fries and the chicken dinner special was $36 which included a 20% tip I dont understand all the great reviews..people must not know any better out here smh
( 9 months ago) I have been living in Mound for almost 40 yrs. the prices have really gone up for what you get. I ordered the 1/2 fried chicken dinner and it was approx $14 with tax. although the flavor was good i was surprised how small the pieces were. They almost seemed slightly bigger than a Cornish game hen. There was 3 of us and everyone said they thought the chicken pieces were really small. We spent close to $60 for the 3 of us which does seem really high for...
