I recently drove by New York Bagelry while traveling from NJ. Although I usually don’t make stops on the road, the inviting atmosphere on a Sunday morning made me turn around and visit. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by a couple of young ladies. I ordered the evening special, which included a classic sandwich and a coffee. Within a few minutes, I received my hot bagel sandwich and a cup for coffee. They offered a wide variety of fresh coffee, and I chose French vanilla, my favorite. I sat in the clean and pleasant dining room, enjoying my sandwich in front of the TV. The sandwich was great, but the French vanilla coffee was exceptional—the best I’ve ever had in the USA. Thank you, New York Bagelry, for the excellent service and for making my day. I will definitely stop by again if I’m ever in the area. Best of luck!

Great Bagels, ok service, go to DD for coffee. We got a wonderful dozen bagels, plus flavored cream cheeses from New York Bagelry. We got a sandwich as well, chocolate milk and a coffee. Bagels were great. The ones with toppings that tend to fall off (cinnamon crisp and everything) were individually wrapped--what service! The coffee was mediocre. I was a little slow on all the flavors of bagel I wanted, so I got the New-York-holding-up-the-line-evil-eye. Enjoy your visit to the Bagelry.

Really good bagel you have to try ! Opened early in the morning and fresh bagel made daily. Cream cheese are also good. I had different menu for 2 times visited and everything area so good. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Hot coffee bar and fountain are available. Credit card accepted and they have drive thru which so popular especially in the morning. Enjoy!

I do-not recommend this place! First time here and was sold 14 stale, assorted bagels. I called to discuss this with management and was told the manager will be back in a lil bit and she'd call me back right away. Several days later and still no phone call. I gave them the opportunity to call me back and discuss my disappointment, but they chose to simply ignore my request. Now they have the honor and privilege of a ZERO-STAR-REVIEW. I don't usually call places back, but decided to give them an opportunity to apologize since they're a small, local, family owned business. This is the reason why so many businesses are going out of business, because they simply do-not respect their valued customers. How an employee can place 14 hard, stale bagels in a bag without knowing or caring, is just plain ridiculous! Instead of gaining a new customer, you've lost one instead! There's a price to pay for conducting bad business practices. Have a...

I never thought I could be considered a "bagel snob" but having lived in the shadow of NYC (New Jersey), you get used to having a REAL New York bagel. Although New York Bagelry tries, it wouldn't even come close to it. I really tried to like their bagels (considering they are the only game in town), the bagels are not authentic. The crust doesn't have that wonderful crunch that gives way to a dense creamy inside texture. The shine on the bagels would be nonexistent if it weren't for the telltale egg wash tracks down the sides of the bagel. A genuine bagel's crust has a shine that comes from first being boiled and then baked. That's what also gives the bagel that amazing crunch.

On the plus side, it's certainly better than a dunkin donuts bagel (which is nothing more than a soft roll with a hole in the middle), but not by much. And it's probably the best you're going to get in PA, but it's not at all a New York bagel, in spite...

THE WORST SERVICE IN BERKS COUNTY!!! Employees are more concerned about themselves and socializing with each other, than their paying customers. Will not be returning, do not know how they stay in business.

I waited in the store to just place my order, i stood at the counter for a while while the employees stood around and talked to each other. I would have understood if they were busy, but they were not. There were only 2 cars in the drive thru and at least 10 employees working. Not once was i acknowledged the employees proceeded to continue to talk to each other and ignore me. It finally got to the point where i walked out of the place and will not be returning. This is not the first time this is happened i have talked to other people that this is happened to.... Guess we weren't worthy enough to buy their bagels lol .

P.S their not that good anyways. Hopefully they don't end up like Take 2 Bagel...Which went out...
