Edit: I got the matcha tea latte and it was very good. Not too sweet. Also got the coconut cake and it is now officially my favorite! Their earl grey and passion fruit macarons are also super fresh and so pretty.
Also apparently people have been getting mad because they weren’t getting bags for their pastries? I got a small cake, two macarons, and three prepared sandwiches and got a bag. (Total about $44) hope others have a good experience too because I did. I arrived at the bakery early in the morning (7:20 AM) so maybe they had more bags then.
For new people:
go early if you have a specific thing you want. They have a display of certain limited items for the day like cakes, macarons, etc. and once they are out, they’re out. The items available also vary each day and they have seasonal ingredients according to their memo.
You can probably also call ahead to check before the drive. They don’t reserve cakes from the last time I’ve checked, but they might have a new policy. Maybe online? 🤔
I had a pleasant time here. The staff was nice and the facilities are very clean and had a light atmosphere.
I went early on Saturday for my sister’s bday cake on Sunday because I heard that they run out of cake fast and have limited flavors depending on the day (we wanted the fruit cake or the coconut cake).
Luckily, they had the fruit cake so we got that one and they spelled my sister’s name right! I know that’s a low standard for some people but we have gotten our names messed up by so many places like Starbucks so I was very pleased.
We also got some sandwiches and drinks for lunch and they were so good ^^ I love tamago sando (egg) so much and making it at home is such a bother so I was glad. Fresh orange juice complimented the sandwich for a wonderfully light lunch. I would definitely go again.
Hopefully next time they will have the cheesecake that looked so...
Read moreCan't believe we lived in Vegas for 7 years and I had never stopped by Suzuya Patisserie. I remember Yelp events or fellow Yelpers discussing this spot but never got a chance to stop by. Sure enough, after I move I finally decide to check it out. Man, what a happy camper I was!!!
We stopped by here after lunch. Just wanted a small treat to satisfy my bakery craving. They have a spacious patio area. The bakery is super clean and modern. Beautiful space and organization on everything. I honestly wanted to try all the desserts here, but didn't have the stomach for it after our lunch. Ha.
I really wanted the Tiramisu Crêpe Cake which is a mini version of the millicrepes, but it was $24 for a 4.5" portion. This feeds 2-4 people. I just wanted a small slice. If they cut it in half, I have no issues paying the $12 for half of that. Lol. The Ube Rare Cheesecake was $17 for a mini cheesecake portion. This was also too big for what we wanted at the moment too. Such a bummer since I love ube and tiramisu everything!!! With that said, the quality for desserts here are completely justifiable as you can taste the quality and see the beautiful work and design put into each dessert.
My friend and I ended up trying Yuzu Panna Cotta and Strawberry Chocolate Puff. We got our treats and sat outside on the patio. They were closing soon and they were pretty much kicking us out. Ha. Service was ok.
The Yuzu Panna Cotta was perfectly light with a little tartness from the Yuzu flavor. My friend really loved it. The little yellow cubes were like little Yuzu jellies. The Strawberry Chocolate Puff was very light and fluffy. Perfect on the small desserts.
This is a Japanese style patisserie. I love Asian bakeries because their desserts are perfection. Not too sweet, light and airy treats. So my style. Wish we had this option in...
Read moreThis used to be my go to place for sweets and cakes for holidays or celebrations. However, ever since they moved to the new location on Buffalo their customer service skills have declined. I bought 2 cakes online and called ahead to make sure that my cakes would be ready before hand. I was on hold for 10 minutes just to confirm my order; so long I thought that the line was cut but I was still on hold. And when they finally decided to answer my call they said they busy and said it would be ready by the time I got there. Fast forward to when I arrived I was trying to park in their curbside pickup parking to find out I couldn’t fit my car bc another car decided to take up 2 spots by parking incorrectly. The lady then proceeded to tell my that I parked in the wrong spot and that I should park in the curbside, but how could I fit my car into a spot that can’t even fit a tiny car?! I waited another 15 minutes even though the lady on the phone told me that my cakes would be ready when I got there. And when she handed me the cakes she knew that the box was broken but still decided to give it to me and the box broke and my cake fell right on my car floor with all of the chocolate shavings and frosting on my carpet. She even blamed me saying that I shouldn’t have taken it and I was the one who messed up the cake and my car. Who would voluntarily decided to ruin a $35 cake and my car??? The service here is ridiculous and although I loved their desserts I will never come back to this establishment because not matter how many times I come their terrible service never changes and this was...
