How excited we were to try a Pho restaurant close to our home. Being from the west coast I was salivating as we walked in... The exterior doesn't do it justice, as the interior has my kind of feel to it. Black walls, black painted foam to fill the ceiling, vines lingering and hanging delicately down the walls.. The gentleman was nice but not overly friendly. I ordered the back rib pho which wasn't bad at all. I added the accompanied lime wedge, bean sprouts, and what I think was their chili oil and was pleased... I love a good broth and this was right in the middle... it had the flavor of salt more prominent than anything else I could find, yet it wasn't salty. You can't go wrong with ribs for me, but since they weren't so tender to fall off the bone; it was a bit much to have to handle the rib to tear of meat for a bite. The spring rolls looked promising but the vermicelli was so abundant it just felt like filler. I enjoyed it esthetically a bit more than for my palette... Definitely better in some respects than other places I've been around NWA, but still not quite. My favorite part was by far the iced coffee.. that was 10 out of...
Read moreI was in town on business and had to grab a bite to eat before the 2 hour drive back home.
Galaxy pho was on the way out so I thought I give them a try.
The place is located in a strip mall that is a bit hidden from the main road so you'll have to look for it. I almost missed it.
Walking in, I was greeted and seated right away as it was just me and another couple sitting at the tables.
I ordered the pho with a beef rib and the garlic butter wings.
The flavor on the wings were amazing! However, the only thing was that the batter was a bit carmelized and was a bit too chewy almost like a soft chew candy consistency. I also got an extra small flat piece in my batch (see photos). Great wings otherwise.
The bowl of pho was fantastic! I don't know whether I was just hungry or what, but it sure hit the spot. The meat was tender with the right amount of fat on it. The broth was right on as well.
Overall, good food and I would recommend...
Read moreThis place is probably some of the best pho in the Fayetteville/Springdale area. As a student we go to the ones by College and MLK but this place, located right by the Asian Amigos store, is so good and the atmosphere is such a vibe. The garlic chicken wings are so good, they make them fresh and the pho is several dollars less than at other restaurants we go to. This place is seriously one of the best (I’ve been every Friday for the past month LOL) and more people gotta know about it fr. Sometimes they’re understaffed but it’s a small business and everyone who works there is so nice, they’re also so chill about splitting the bill or making separate bills! Pho and a drink would def be under $20 but my friend and I got two appetizers, two drinks and two pho bowls for $25 a person before tip!! THE GARLIC CHICKEN WINGS...
