Disappointing experience today. I've always trusted Aldi and preferred to buy as many of my groceries there as possible because I didn't feel I had to scrutinize every little price. But today changed that. The sign in front of the red grapes showed 75 cents per pound for green grapes. A quick glance makes it appear that the grapes will be 75 cents per pound. Fortunately, I noticed the price indicated it was for green grapes and I looked for green grapes and there were none. If you don't have any green grapes, either take the sign down or leave the spot empty. Please do not put more expensive grapes in the spot with the cheaper sign. Then I looked across the aisle at oranges. The sign in front of them indicated peaches are 1.90 something. Oranges were a few slots down. Please put signs in the correct places. Around the corner I found an apple pie with a $2 off sticker on top. I decided to buy the pie, mainly because it was marked down. When I got home and was putting away my groceries, I remembered the $2 off sticker on the pie and decided to check the receipt to see if I actually received the $2 off. It appears that the pie rang up at regular price, then the cashier voided that entry and re-entered if for $1 less. Seriously?! I know this sounds petty, but this is how things started at the big chain down the road. Additionally, there are no phone numbers listed, allowing you to contact Aldi. If you have a problem with a purchase, you are to take your receipt with you on your next trip and speak to someone at the store. They are probably hoping I will forget by the time I go back. I am not making a special trip to the store, with gas prices the way they are, to fight for my dollar and they are well aware of it. My advice, if you shop at Aldi, make sure you watch all signs and stand over the cashier and/or scrutinize your receipt before leaving the store. Another idea would be to go down the street to the big chain store and ring up your own groceries, so you can watch the price of each item as it is scanned without...
Read moreFirst time in a long time going to this Aldi. Probably the last time too. Several people in 1 line, 1 lone young lady doing her best to work as quickly as possible (as she notices the line of customers starting to form, and a group of her co-workers standing and talking not far from the rest of the registers not being used) and what do you know. They all scatter and disappear. So, once I make it to check out i ask the young lady if her co-workers were like this on a regular bases. She simply replied "oh yeh" I give 3 starts for the employee who kept her cool and was professional while her coworkers were not. Kuddos for your manners while on the clock. ZERO stars for the rest of the staff who can look at a long line...
Read moreAnyone who complains of not being able to afford groceries and doesn't shop at Aldi (probably shops at Walmart) is a lunatic!!! Aldi is the best, unbeatable groceries almost across the board! I can feed my family for $80 to $100 a week and that's with us buying pretty much whatever we want that week. Although I'm not too happy with this particular Aldis prices, the Rogers one beats it, I'm still happy that it beats Harps and Walmart. The employees told me a couple months ago that they will soon shut down to remodel to be as big and nice as the ones in Fayetteville, Rogers, Siloam. I'm excited to see this new store. Also remember when you shop is important. Sometimes the shelves clear out. I think Sunday night isn't...
