Waffle House — Restaurant in Springdale

I've got to say, I was pretty impressed with the cleanliness, service and food preparation at this location! Me and the Mrs. stopped by for an impromptu early supper when we just felt like grabbing breakfast I stead of going home and cooking. My fiesta omelette was outstanding! Top that off with hashbrowns, wheat toast and fresh hot coffee, just what I needed. The wife had scrambled eggs and grits with cheese in them, she enjoyed hers as well. Being Labor Day weekend the waiter asked if we were from out of town. I told him yes, that we were from Gaston. We all had a good laugh. All joking aside, I admired the landscaping while I was eating. Well manicured grass and bushes, which I don't believe I've ever seen at a Waffle House. Very nice! My family and I used to eat at this Waffle House pretty regularly, but not anymore. Today, my husband and I were sitting with our two young children in a corner booth when my youngest (an infant) began to fuss because she was hungry. I decided to nurse her, and a few minutes in, I noticed a male employee staring at me. He came over and asked me to cover up. It's not like I had my boobs out on full display - I was nursing my child which is both completely natural and legal in every state. If you're an adult, you're probably fine to eat here, but if you're a baby, you might be out of luck. I haven't been treated this way in 2.5 years of nursing my kids and we...

Server was not very good. We had to chase down our server so my husband could get a coffee refill. Then we had to chase her down for a to-go box and our bill. The meats came out about five minutes before the eggs and grits. I saw the plates sitting there with the food without them being served. When she saw they were ready, she realized there was no toast. And set the plates down and was going to wait on the toast. I called out and asked her to bring the plates, then the toast, when it cooked.
