I found this hotel after being involved in an accident on I-26 and by the time everything was wrapped up it was too late to continue to Florida. The two room suite was 1 of 3 single bed rooms available online. I think the price point was a little high considering I paid the same price for a similar room at the Hilton Ayersley in Charlotte NC that had a full restaurant and bar, the night before. But the room was comfortable and clean. The king size bed was comfortable as well. The bathtub resurfacing was peeling a bit but that didn't bother me because I was standing for a shower anyway, not lying in the tub. The pressure from the large shower head was excellent and the water was extremely hot. Bathroom lighting was good as was the lighting in both rooms. Couldn't get the bedroom TV to work. The remote may have just needed batteries but the TV in the other room worked so it really wasn't an issue and I forgot to even mention it to the front desk when I checked out. There was a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker as well. My room was on the first floor and the vending and ice machines were just down the hall in the lobby. The free breakfast in the morning was good as well. Standard hotel free breakfast items and, being in South Carolina, I was hoping for sausage gravy and biscuits. I was not disappointed. The gravy could have used more sausage but it was very good. The scrambled eggs didn't taste like reconstituted dry eggs and we're very light and fluffy. Even after the breakfast ended the coffee was still available. The indoor pool was clean and heated; probably in the mid 80° range. Towels were available in the pool and there were several floaties and toys for kids. I used it after about 9:00 p.m. when all the kids were out of there. Naturally it was quite popular with the families who had kids. I was traveling with my Golden Retriever service dog but otherwise, I don't believe pets are allowed. I would definitely stay here again if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe wanted to like this place more. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We got three rooms and one of the rooms had dried food or something (honestly it looked like dried throw up) on the bed frame so our room was changed. However, each room had stains on the carpet, the bed sheets, the walls (appeared like dried water dripping from sprinkler head), the bathroom ceiling had hair on it in one room, the other room the bathroom had a giant crack in the wall.
However, water pressure was great. Breakfast was different every day and free and was decent as well. Plenty of parking, and the pool was actually warm! I would have rated this place 5 stars for everything but unfortunately with the stains and the shape of the rooms, I couldn't give it more than 3. I can't honestly recommend this place because out of 3 rooms, all of them had issues and stains.
You may ask why we even stayed... Even with the stains on the carpet the room looked clean and add if it had been vacuumed. The bed sheets although had a few stains, they were clean and smelt clean as well. We needed more towels throughout our 5 day stay and they promptly cleaned and provided room service whenever you called. Again, staff were amazing! They want to do a good job it appears. But the rooms need renovating, bed sheets need to be replaced, and carpet...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis hotel was absolutely horrible, we went to check in and this guy pops out from behind the counter and says the front desk girl would be right there, 10 minutes later, literally, we are still standing there. The guy came back, and when I asked where she was, he said, she must be helping another guest; I replied can you check us in we have a reservation; he said No, I donāt do that,ā¦. 10 more minutes later, she appeared and grinding her teeth rapidly checked us in blaming all the time it took on the WiFi connection. Iām not an idiot, and 45 minutes after we arrived onsite with a paid reservation, we were still waiting for our room, she couldnāt find the right key cards so she let us in and said she would be back with the key cards. She never came back and when I went down to the front desk, she had forgotten the keys and also who and what room we were in as she was still grinding her teeth under the influence of something I suppose!! The breakfast was over cooked the eggs were watery, at least the milk was cold and the raisin brand was not stale. This hotel was not that full, yet the service was absolutely appalling, Iām sorry to say you guys completely missed the mark, I doubt I will ever try to seek out a rental at this or any other Country Inn...
