Terra Nova Woodfired Pizza and Grill — Restaurant in Springfield Township

I work for a small, local trade company and I am always thrilled when the job takes us within lunch radius of Terra Nova.

The product (no matter what you order) is always fresh and delicious. There is nothing wildly "provocative" about the menu. They just keep it fairly simple (with some gentle twists and turns), take tremendous pride in their food quality (and service!) and consistently produce great meals.

It can often be challenging to find a decent lunch for a tradesperson (depending on your circumstance). You can't really stray too far from the job, you don't want to eat trash coming off a 4hr shift on the rollers at 7-11 or from the steam-bins at Wawa. You don't want to spend a fortune, and most likely, you don't want to feel like a groggy, sinking stone when you have to go back to work because of what you had for lunch.

If you are in the area, Terra Nova will not disappoint. The food is fulfilling, satisfying and light. The price points are both affordable and reasonable (for the quality and portions). I often get lunch and dinner from a single pie.

While I am certain there will be many more pies between now and then, I am already looking forward to devouring a delicious, hot pie in the work truck come fall and winter.

This place restored my faith in local pizza. It’s tough in these parts; we have a weekly visit from the Pitruco pizza truck and Enza down the block consistently offers a lovely pie that I still get in the restaurant when I’m having a night out with family or friends—their short rib pizza is the bomb, but Terra Nova is bringing it day in and day out and impresses EVERY time. Fresh, quality ingredients, inventive specials—bring back that white potato and bacon pie and that amazing truffle oil please, super consistent and reliable, and their pies are as good or better than any at the best ranked places in Phila, including Vetri, Pizza Brain, Pizzaria Beddia, all of them. The pizza was delicious but I really want to shout out the service. When we were deciding what to order they would overhear and basically reassure us they could do whatever we were thinking. Want a half custom white, half specialty pizza? It's not a problem. Not sure which flavor wing sauce? Try some different ones, you can mix and match.
