Terrible customer service! Raw burgers. We picked up a to go order about 5 weeks ago. Drove 15 min. home, took a bite of our "well done" burger to find it completely rare the outside was cooked but very rare meat. I took a picture of it. My husband called and they said they'd make another order and to come back...so he went and picked it up. He got home we opened the burgers and they were just a plain bun with the patty..no condiments, no lettuce, tomato, onions...nothing..We called again and whoever we talked to said, if we were willing to give them another shot in the future he'd put us on a "list" and we could get our burgers then. Obviously we were not going to drive back a 3rd time , so we agreed. Trashed the plain burgers and ordered pizza. Well this wknd we were in the S. Campbell area so I told my husband to call and see if we could get our burgers now. He talked to a manager that stated they don't have a "list" and that he would have been the person we talked to and he doesn't remember anything like that ever happening..he seemed quite defensive and argumentative. My husband stated that was fine and he wasn't going to argue with him over a burger. My husband was made to feel as though he was lying about our previous bad experience. I did not write a review on their inability to correctly prepare our to go order as I didn't care that much, but I do care that Bairs on Campbell's management was truly rude to a customer who was only trying to get compensation for burgers they had already paid for. We will not being doing business with Bairs or recommending them in the future to friends and colleagues. But if you are new to the area and looking for a great burger place on the south side check out Black Sheep Burgers, similar pricing, excellent food, and...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Bair's on S. Campbell last Friday after having been there five or six times previously. Our experience prior to last Friday had always been good. When we went there Friday we experienced slow to nonexistent service, plus our food was cold (i.e. the French fries and chips). We told our waitress about the cold fries and she had the chef to make another order. This time the Fries were warm, but still not right. I didn't send them back though as we had lost faith in the chef. While I was halfway through my dinner I asked for another drink. Our waitress gave the bartender my order and then proceeded to sweep the floor. After waiting for over five minutes I finally got our waitress' attention and told her to cancel my drink and please give us our check. What really irked us was that there was only one other table occupied by a couple while the bartender had a couple of people that he was talking with. THERE WAS NO EXCUSE FOR HAVING OUR DRINK ORDER NOT BEING DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER, NONE!!! When I got our check I asked to speak with the manager. I explained what all had happened and she was very apologetic. She also took $20 off our bill and said she would be talking to the bartender and waitress. The manager was very polite during our discussion. We are new to Springfield and thought that we had found a nice place to dine out. Having said all of this, unfortunately we no longer have faith in both their food and service. Perhaps this was a "one off" situation; however, we are now VERY hesitant to go back there and we can not recommend this place to others. We wish it wasn't so!!! I would have given this review a one star but for...
Read moreI don't like writing bad reviews, especially during COVID times when everyone is overworked and understaffed. I came here with a larger party (8 adults and 2 kids), a member of my party called ahead and let them know we had a large group coming in. We were asked our drink orders quickly, and then it took maybe 10 minutes to get those. Our food order was asked probably 15 mins later, then after another 10 min we were told that they were out of an item that was on 2 people's orders so they reordered. We then waited over an hour for our food to come. By the time we all have finished eating we had been there for about two hours. The kids in our party are 3, and 2 so they aren't great at waiting. We asked our waiter to please try to get the kids their food before ours, but the first 2 plates out were not theirs (luckily the adults gave the children a little of theirs). Between the first person served and the last person served, there was at least 20 minutes of waiting. I've been here before and had great service, so I really hope that it was just...
