Scott at the Front Desk was super welcoming and friendly, he went over everything with great detail and was very personable, he also thanked me for being a rewards member, this has not happened elsewhere so this was a nice touch! The lady (didn't catch her name) who was refilling breakfast was super kind and helpful. Our room was clean and had a great layout (room 314 - 2 queen beds and a pull out couch). I believe the card said the housekeeper was Veva, she had prepped the room so nicely, it was clean and comfortable, couldn't think of a thing that was forgotten. It was my husband and our four small children and it was the perfect space for us. The hotel was located in a great and quiet location. You have Walmart, Texas Roadhouse and Andy's right there close. Bathroom was nice and big, had tub and shower. I liked that it had an ironing board, fridge, Keurig (with pods) and microwave. Some hotels I have stayed at recently haven't had microwaves or ironing board. They also had a great breakfast set up! They had eggs, sausage, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, chocolate milk and white milk, 3 or 4 juice options, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bread, muffins, bagels, breakfast potatoes and I may be missing more. This was so convenient being able to grab a filling breakfast my kids liked at the hotel instead of getting them out early and going somewhere. Also, check out time is noon! NOON! Typically it is a 10am check out every where else which can be hard for us, a family of 6, so I appreciated this so much! We will definitely stay again when we are in Springfield, MO. Thank you for your hospitality and great...
Read moreI have stated in this hotel a lot as of late because of work travel. I normally stay in a Holidays Inn related property wherever I go.
This hotel is normally fine.
This past week I stayed a couple nights and it was $180/night which was much higher than usual but it appears there was a baseball tournament which caused it to be pretty full so I understand the price. I was put in room 125 which was very convenient for getting in and out early because of the location. But this room had cockroaches in the morning on the little counter that the coffee maker is sitting. I killed the ones I saw and let the employees at the front desk know. I was just told they apologize and will get the big guy in there to spray at the end of my stay. From that point on I kept my belongings in my pickup and only brought in the change of clothes I planned to wear the next day which made this room a bit inconvenient.
I will be working in Nixa the next two to three weeks and will probably look for a different hotel which is unfortunate because this one is the closest to the job location. My main issue is that the employees just did not care. So if I was booked for another week they just plan to wait until I leave and the call in the big guy? They could have changed my room and had the bug guy in that day...
Read moreThe staff was very friendly at check-in and throughout our stay. We thought the location was great, many shops and restaurants around. Thought it was very nice area. We stayed while it was Family Weekend at Missouri State University so it was a good location and not far from the campus. The breakfast selection does need a little help though. The eggs that they had were some kind of omelette like things that were dried and pretty gross. Scrambled eggs would've been just fine. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express and Suites and they had a better selection with scrambled eggs, bacon and other Items that just seemed more fresh than this hotel. We ended up at Einstein Bagels for breakfast. We would definitely stay at this hotel again when we go out there to visit Thank you to the staff for a great stay. The girls at the front desk were fantastic. The room darkening blinds on the windows were fantastic by the way! They were great for sleeping in a little bit in the morning blocking the sun light. The nice size refrigerators in the room were also great to have. A relative of ours stayed at the Holiday Inn Express close the stadium in Springfield and they didn't even have refrigerators in the rooms there, so this was great to have at...
