This place is the best Chinese food in town. Totally a local treasure. Great service, fast, consistent kitchen with food that is cooked hot and fresh to order. My favorite dishes are the following: double fried pork, spicy fried chicken, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and the most unique dish of all: house special shaved noodle. The flavors feature levels of spice that are tolerable yet can be adjusted to any level. You taste the flavor of the spice more than the burn. The spicy fried chicken is boneless- think chopped bits of chicken fried crispy and tossed with red chili peppers l, peanuts, and green onions. These flavors are just so simple and yet very well-developed. The cooks have a light hand on their methods, and dishes never come appearing too greasy or anything. They take alot of pride in their food, and it shows. Only a matter of time before they expand, this place is a blessing to the neighborhood 🙏 🙌 ✨️. Really such nice people too. Great energy, polite, precise order taking and execution. Money is well spent here, good portions for what you pay. They deserve all the success, and quite honestly it's refreshing to see a restaurant run with such passion and efficiency. I have brought my young kids I'm with me, and I always watch how ppl treat the kids. They were very respectful to them, talked with them and made them feel like they were important. Gave them each a dum-dum lollipop. They get it. They're great for the community, I just can't say enough. For the first year they were open, the sign was written in Chinese, and 99% of ppl had no idea what was there. Now the sigh says "chopstix", and the secret is out. Humble young crew of people who you look you in the eye when they talk with you. This is easy. 5 out of 5 stars. No stomachache or digestive issues from this place, like you'd get it you'd ate...
Read moreLarge portions but very bland mediocre food. Super disappointed. Really not sure why they have such high ratings. It’s really not great. I’m adding sauces from home to try and spice it up.
I ordered the orange chicken and kong pao. Orange chicken barely had any sauce, again super flavorless. The kong pao was mostly hard vegetables, not at all spicy and super bland. Chicken is chopped into little tiny pieces that just get lost in all the veggies. Don’t waist your money here.
Edit: Since it won't let me respond to your reply. If you look at my review history, I typically only write positive reviews. 98% of the reviews I write are 5 stars. Giving my honest opinion that the food was disappointing was not libel, it was my honest opinion that I regretted spending my money at your establishment. I did not slander anything besides my opinion of the food. This is what reviews are for, if you are incapable of hearing any criticism regarding your product, without seeing it as a personal offense, then it makes sense why the food is bland. Im starting to wonder if the positive reviews are mostly members of the community just trying to be supportive, which lane county (as much as I love the supportiveness behind it) is known for doing. But as someone who doesn't go out often, I would want to know if the food I spent money on was going to be disappointing. Im allowed to write my review here, and your response, while Im really not in it to get a refund - is unprofessional and lacks accountability. The size of the chicken could have been small, and that would have been just fine, if the food actually tasted good. Not the point...
Read moreHonestly I have no clue how they have such a high rating on here. The sweet and sour pork is actually inedible which is upsetting because we spent 17 bucks on it. Pork rinds taste better, I am not joking. Even visually doesn’t look like sweet and sour pork it looks (and tastes) like fried gristle. House fried rice, walnut shrimp, and egg flower soup while edible were extremely meh and I wish we would have ordered somewhere else.
Edit to respond to their reply: I’m aware there was sauce, it still tastes gross with it. I’m allowed to negatively review your restaurant so people know what they’re getting into. I’ve seen other negative reviews in regard to the sweet and sour pork here saying the exact same things I did. It’s not being mean to tell the truth to potential customers. I read the positive reviews and made a choice to order based on them and I’m greatly disappointed. Hopefully a future customer will be better informed to make a better decision. If they want to try after looking at both the positive and negative and form their own opinions that’s their choice. Take responsibility for your food.
P.S. We both felt sick immediately after...
