Dunkin' — Restaurant in Springfield

At least one of the managers there is a total tyrant. Went there on Saturday 2/1/20 at around 8:45am and the manager took about 10 minutes berating all of the employees in front of customers while they were waiting to order or receive their food. She screamed about how “this was their first and final warning” about something, and if they did another wrong thing, they’d be fired. She was picking on every little thing they did, tearing them down and making the paying customer watch that before getting their order dealt with. I’m totally disgusted. If there’s a problem with that shift of workers, it’s the manager. That manager is totally incapable of being a leader in a team based environment. Nobody is going to want to work for you when you embarrass them in front of customers. That manager should be fired for how she treated them. I’m seeing other recent bad reviews, and I can only imagine that the issues other people are experiencing are because that manager’s attitude raking through the other employees like a virus. This location is unprofessional and confrontational. I wanted to order a vanilla chai with almond milk and the person taking my order rudely said “no, I can’t do that” so I asked was she out of almond milk and she said “ no I’m just not gonna make it with almond because of allergies you know! Like people are allergic” so I was confused and said oh you’re allergic and the employee rudely said “no I’m just not going to make it, I have almond milk but I can’t use it on that machine” so when I asked for the manager, the manager came out and seemed annoyed and would not give me the employee s name nor did she seem to have a reguard for what I was saying. She offered to give me a vanilla chai with skim milk instead with an extra shot of chai powder but told me there was nothing else she could do for me maybe I could go to the next location down the road. I usually avoid DD in favor of some place that serves something more than glorified gas station coffee (honestly, Pride serves a better cheap cup when I'm on the go), especially since they started charging an absurd $1.00 per...squirt (I can't think of a better descriptor for the measurement of liquid they use) of oat milk, but I was running errands and happened to be in the parking lot, so I figured I'd cave.

Upon pulling into the lot and exiting my vehicle I was greeted at the door by a sign that said "IF YOU AREN'T BUYING ANYTHING, DON'T COME IN."

I was going to, but seeing that this location either allows or encourages the posting of such an aggressively off-putting, and honestly classist sign, I decided to drive out of my way and spend my money elsewhere. Dunkin Donuts has been lousy, overpriced hot garbage for a long time, but if this is the kind of facade they are putting forward, I'm going to avoid...
