First time I was here I ordered a blended mocha. Seemed over blended as it was mainly water, no real mocha flavor, just overpowering coffee that was cold and watery. I let that slide and tried them again. Got the Peach smoothie, it's really good, just not with a paper straw. The go to anymore are the lotus drinks, the wife and kids and I enjoy trying the many new different flavors they have. Some are great, while others should never see the light of day again. Their food seems average, I like the banana crumb cake, seems store bought, but still good. The wife enjoys their bagles, I was not impressed. I tend to just get the bag of bacon, which is hot or miss. I've had it be really crispy to really soft. Prices are a little high for the quality of the food items. Lotus drinks and smoothie prices seem fair. The drive thru is a pain, with the speaker not working and having to order at the window. Wait times fluctuate, I've sat for over 30 mins before and have also been through in less than 15. If you order food, be sure to either have your own napkins or ask. Apparently they don't just give these away. Nothing better than driving with food and having nothing to wipe your hands and face with. The inside atmosphere seems a little pompus for me, but then again I'm nott the coffee house type. So that's not really a fault to them. During the spring they had a punch card thing going on for their lotus drinks. Half the time they didn't punch the card, and the card was poorly designed. Had the drinks on both sides. So you couldn't tell which options you actually punched. I'll continue to patronize them, just hope they start providing better service and better quality and options for baked goods. Pretty sure their stuff is just off the shelf items you get at a...
Read moreMy fiance and I were excited to try this as she has a gluten allergy and the menu looked amazing for her dietary restrictions. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was broken furniture, food all over the floor and tables that hadn't been wiped off. We started to order and we'd opted for a Hawaiian acai bowl. This was Wednesday morning, 08/13. We've never encountered granola that wasn't gluten free, but we have to ask to be sure because that's two days spent on the bathroom floor eating charcoal and throwing up. The young lady at the register acted very put out and said she had no clue, we then had to ASK her if she could find out, she literally stopped herself from rolling her eyes. She walked back, and in the span of 4 seconds came right back and said "sorry, it has gluten". There's no way she checked or asked someone. I later research online and find a pdf for Hae's with there allergen list, and it says their granola is gluten free. Who's telling the truth. She wasn't pleasant at all to deal with and we were still very polite, changed our order and got our food. If you're going to have a fairly good sized menu that caters to people with allergen restrictions, your staff needs educated better before you send someone to the hospital, or turn them off of your eating establishment. Our excitement was utter disappointment. Especially with how little care the staff spent on the cleanliness of their establishment and how tedious it was for them "her" to wait on customers who have simple food restriction questions. Hopefully the one opening in Sherman will provide a better experience because the menu was very...
Read moreThis review is specific to the Wabash location. I struggle, but I keep trying. I have been there 4 times in the last 3 months. Three of which the drinks where either made wrong or missing ingredients. Even today, I got the featured latte and it didn't look as pictured. It was missing the sprinkles on top and this was featured for the week. In the past, I have had beverages missing cold foam and different add ins. Based on other reviews, this doesn't seem new.
In addition, the staff seems disinterested. Upon one visit, I watched my drink sit in the window, while the young girls that were supposed to be working chatted and talked amongst themselves. They finally acknowledged me so I could get my iced drink (that was sitting in the sunlight) and pay.
I want to support local. I keep trying. But I think the issue lies in the customer service and the staff's attention to detail. The young ladies working do not seem interested and I feel it is reflective in customer service and quality. I certainly wish the organization luck. I just think this location needs a bit more support.
8/12/2025 --- Update
So I stopped in to try again. Unfortunate mistake. There was already a line of about 3/4 cars when I joined. I waited 5 minutes without any movement at 7:00 AM (shouldn't be too busy). I left the line along with several others. Drove past the window and AGAIN 3 teenagers talking to each other and on phones.
I'm sorry, but customers will not continue to be ignored by people who don't care. If you aren't interested in this location, don't have it. I'm sure the overhead is not cheap. Focus on the other locations that you can...
