Let me start out by saying we really like eating at Jimmy’s Egg! We go there very often and I like earning points for free, entrées Or dollars off, etc. We go to the Jimmy’s Egg on Campbell Street in Springfield, Missouri. We visited a few weeks ago and as usual, gave my check-in number I knew I had five dollars off our order when the waitress handed us our check I signed and she said oh you have $10 in your rewards. I said I do, great! When I left the store, I realized they did not take my five dollars off. Oh well, I use it next time, we just went in again this past week I gave my check number and my bill came back and I said something about it to the waitress and she said oh did you want me to take that off? I don’t usually do that unless people ask me, I have to tell you I’ve never been asked if they wanted to take it off. They just take it off automatically. As a matter fact, the people sitting on the other side of us, asked her to redo the check because she didn’t take it off.
Is this some new thing to save money on your bottom line? We shouldn’t have to ask if we were giving them a number for check-in. It should automatically come off...
Read moreI really truly hate leaving bad reviews for places. However this place earned it. Before we even sat down, the waitress poured coffee for us. Didnt even ask if we wanted any. When we saw the bill, we had been charged for it. In addition to the hot coffee that I didn't want, I ordered an iced coffee. I had about 4 sips and it was gone since it was mostly ice. The breakfast of eggs bacon, hashbrowns & toast was soooo bland. I thought I was coming down with a cold because I literally could not taste anything. It was a huge relief to find out that my husband's food was also tasteless. We travel around the country trucking, so we have plenty of experience of good food and bad food, and then there is just the food that is edible but not great. Unfortunately Jimmy's Egg cannot even be put into the category of Denny's food. I have never experienced this problem before where bacon doesn't taste like bacon. I mean, even bad bacon tastes like bad bacon, no matter how overcooked, greasy, or flabby it is. I'm sorry, it's a no go for me. To each there own, but I will never eat at a...
Read moreWe live several hours away. Everyday we are hammered with their commercials of the delicious looking food. I won't lie we arrived with expectations from all those food images and commercials. We knew what we wanted without opening the menu and pointing at the pictures on the cover. I don't mind spending money getting what I see. Even though presentation is important, quantity is just as important. I feel my wife's fresh Fruit toppings were coming up short. My club was fine. It bothers me though when I see disappointment in my wife's eye. Especially when Bobbi set her waffle on the table. Will share the menu image and her waffle. Bobbi never did ask about her waffle. Only about the sandwich and focusing on it in conversation. Sure she overheard and saw me next table over while pointing to the image and sharing my disappointment to her of the waffle on the menu. What I thought was special. Was anything but. I can get anything but, back home. Pictures say it all. To clarify. There is no pile of strawberries under the whip...
