There is a drive thru which is wonderfully convenient. I ordered Taco Salad, which at the other Mexican Villa locations come with olives and green onions. I was OK to omit the green onions, but asked if I could have the olives because the menu didn't list them included. They said they didn't have them at this location, which seems like a silly general management decision, as olives come in a can/jar and have a long shelf life, why would you not? I did like that I was present with the option to have the salad come with chips or a shell. I chose chips and she asked if I would like any sauce. I said sweet and hot. When I got my food I pulled over into a parking space to check to ensure I got everything before leaving. They did not include the requested sauces or any napkins. I went and inside, and they were friendly and gave me the sauce and I grabbed some napkins. When I got to the point of eating the salad I realized they did not include the sweet sauce that is suppose to come on the salad. So, if I would have not check the bag there would have been no "dressing" at all. I will come here again, as it is close to my work and convenient, and the salad itself was fresh. I just will remember to ask for extra sweet sauce and always check the bag to ensure that it is...
Read moreJust picked up a combo plate in the drive through. I ask for extra sause so the meal would not be do dry. Got home [ 6 blocks away ] and found they did not put extra sause on my meel. It's so dry it's hard to eat. This is not my first bad encounter with this business but it is my last. Looking at other reviews convinces me that the owners just dont care because they've done nothing to address the problems here. My meal was cold when I opened it. The chips I'm trying to eat are so old and stale they are very hard and really degrade anything good that might be said about this place. What happened? This use to be a good place to eat. Not anymore! I've gone back now and then over the last year hoping things would turn around. No such luck! It's getting worse, not better Same thing holds true of other Mecican Villa restaurants in town. I suppose you could use the pandemic as an explanation of why this company is suffering but that dog don't hunt. Bad management, bad service, bad food and mad customers all equate to one thing. It's awful and it's getting worse. Too many good places to eat in town. Dont need to accept...
Read moreMost of the time comida is passable, I just happened to have a mildly irritating experience last night. The staff were screwing around throwing things in the kitchen, talking about things that were inappropriate for the setting, but considering their age I guess you can't really blame them that late. I ordered a taco salad and it was quite possibly the worst I've ever had, the shell was stale/cold/oily and tasteless, the meat was cold/greasy/bland and about 2 small tablespoons, (seriously though, who puts cold/greasy, nasty taco meat in a taco salad, I'm pretty sure that's not even a thing, anywhere in the world) the lettuce was wet and piled on from the bottom to the top and sprinkled with a tiny pinch of cheese... Overall boring and quite nasty. I eat here probably once a month or every other month, I'd go back, but I would definitely not go back real late when the kids are bored and slacking, and I would never order that again(or at least I would put some serious,SERIOUS instructions on it) It's a cute place with usually ok food, give it a try, you may like it, I think I prefer the original on...
