House of Tea & More — Restaurant in Springtown

Second visit today. Made a special birthday visit with my granddaughter. My fault for not inquiring before our visit, but the menu is definately not kid friendly. Beverage choices are tea or water. Eight year olds are not excited about either of those. I heard a table nearby ask for lemonade or other beverage for their little girls also. None available. The only kid friendly menu item (besides PB&J on a kids "tea") was a grilled cheese. This comes with a jam inside and cannot be ordered without the jam. We had some other problems with our visit, but can chalk those up to a full house of customers. We left after 45 minutes having been served only one of our meals (the grilled cheese - she and I both tried a bite and she would not eat it at all). I was so disappointed to leave having paid $12 for a grilled cheese sandwich and still have to go find birthday lunch for my little. My three-year-old daughter and I visited this lovely teahouse today, and it was absolutely wonderful! The decor is charming, cozy, and perfectly set up for a relaxing afternoon. The food was just as delightful, beautifully presented, and delicious. What really stood out, though, was how welcoming and thoughtful the staff were. They immediately offered a plastic cup for my little one, which I appreciated, but as she settled in, they were more than happy to let her try out the “real” teacups too. She felt like a real princess! She loved her blood orange iced tea, and my pumpkin spice tea was wonderful. We split the “Afternoon Tea” tiered dish. She enjoyed the scones, fruit, and desserts, while my favorite were the assortment of various sandwiches. We even grabbed a tasty treat to go! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I went in looking for 76082 and instead I came across a beautiful place. The owners are wonderful. They showed me all around. You can tell how much love, pride, dedication and the list can go on and on. Everything is fresh and delicious. I would recommend it. We need to support our small business that are in our community. I absolutely love the beautiful butterfly decorations....
