I need to start out with saying Joe Bandido’s is really good food! Place is more like hole-in-the-wall vibes… not all that attractive. We live about an hour away so coming is far and few between especially because we have two young children. I expect the good food and you always hope for good service. I was SO disappointed in our server (Anna or annabelle?), last weekend. —Half of our party got there early and were seated right away. When we got there (about 10mins later) there was no line to bypass and just walked right to our already sat table. From there a different server took our drink order. Then when our actual server came to take our food order she was so unhelpful when ordering I got frustrated! For example- I asked how big the taquitos were, she had no clue.. told me they were regular size. PSA- they are probably the biggest taquitos I’ve had. (& when I told her afterward they were huge, she said, “I know. Right?” THEN WHY NOT TELL ME THAT!?) I asked for no cheese on the beans.. she didn’t tell me there was also cheese on the taquitos. I took them anyway. She asked everyone for refills I told her my daughter wanted a sprite..a different server brought back our drinks.. wrong drink and no straw. I asked for lemons, from a different server. I asked for chips and salsa from a different server. I asked for napkins from a different server. Like where is OUR server?! Then when we finished and had to get to go boxes, I asked for some salsa to go for the meal that I am paying for… she said she could ‘give me some in a box’… in box??? Can I have some in a freaking to-go cup with a lid? She eventually and finally gave me a 2oz cup!! I felt crazy asking for a container to hold the food that was on our table! She handed me the cup and said snarky, “I don’t care what you use it for.” Listen I might ask too many questions when ordering, I might be demanding cause I have 3 people I’m trying to feed, and I apologize for my kids in advance. But I’m the customer and like everyone else I expect to get the help I need politely when being waited on! Anyway- good food… was upset with...
Read moreJoe Bandidos Talk about a Regular.... I have come to Joe Bandidos for as long as i can remember... SO MANY GOOD THINGS best chips and salsa. It is not watery like other Mexican restaurants and always tastes so good (Free with your order) Lunch deals are to die for. Super cheap AND comes with a free drink They are super easy to work with! No beans? thats fine. Dont like rice? thats fine. Want salad instead? thats fine! super easy and RARELY make mistakes. Always the same. Sometimes you can go to a Mexican restaurant and you will order the same thing and get different tastes each time, NOPE. not here. They have perfected everything that they do so well that it is seriously the best food every. single. time. Daniel. He is one of their lead servers and DUH we know why. He is so fast, never lets your drink go out, and is always thinking of your needs even before you think them. Best Food options: The Bandido, Fajita wraps, fish tacos, cheese/chicken enchiladas, and their tostada. I havent been able to try everything on the menu, because there are so many things I love I rarely want something else, but I can gaurantee anything you try you will most likely love. For someone that goes every single month (sometimes multiple times a month) for over 15 years, I have NEVER had a bad experience here. yes, they make mistakes sometimes, all restaurants do, but they make it right so quickly that it doesnt even matter! And they own their mistakes. They dont blame it on someone else... they just want to fix it. LAST BUT NOT LEAST -FRIED ICECREAM! yes, you got that right. You will want this dessert even if its NOT your birthday. topped with hot caramel, fudge, and cold whipped cream, it is the perfect ending...
Read moreNope. Nuh huh. No way. Never again. We’ve given up on Mexican food in Utah. Fajitas are made with skirt steak not with stir fry beef. There should be no wet sauce to them. I would refer to those as fuhjeetahs. The tortillas were store bought, and the guacamole had way too much citrus and no tomatoes or onions. The chilé con queso looked old and tasted older. The salsa had to have been puréed picante sauce with added onion and cilantro. The chips came from a bag. My wife had a tostada. The beans and chicken came from a can. She said there was definitely a tinny flavor and the whole thing was sloppy. When Taco Bell is of a higher quality you know there’s a problem. The exterior of the building says “leave now I could fall apart at any minute” with the wires hanging out of the panels and the tomato can filled with concrete supporting the post at the fire exit. Should have left but it gets good reviews, I’d guess those are all reviews by people who have no tastebuds. We’ve been to many Mexican restaurants and there have been many that have failed miserably. I’d have to say this one is in my top 3 worst. I do admit I come from a state where there are many Mexican restaurants so I guess I have high standards although I don’t...
