Rimmels Döner Kebab — Restaurant in Springville

I feel bad leaving a review this low on a restaurant that just opened, but it is well deserved.

If you’re wanting a Doner Kebab you will pay $16 before tax for just that. No fries, no drink, just the kebab. That is absolutely insane. Unthinkable. Texas Roadhouse is cheaper.

If the Kebab was good, that would be the end of my review.

Why am I’m paying $16 and getting 1-2oz of meat? There was no meat on this thing. I ordered two and it was the same. All you can taste are the vegetables (which were in good supply). A traditional kebab should have at least 3 times the meat they are serving at this location. Especially at a $16 price point.

Way too much bread. The bread is too thick and that is all you can taste. The “sandwich” was actually flavorless and gross.

Maybe it’s expensive to source the meat for a doner kebab but there is no reason I should be paying $16 for one pita with so little meat. Very disappointing.

This hole-in-the-wall traditional Doner Kebab location was decent, but nothing special. Considering the $16 price for my lamb/beef doner kebab, it left me wanting more.

Pros: It was enough food to fill me up The vegetables and meat were quite fresh It settles well in the stomach Free drinks on Tuesdays The owner was kind and welcoming

Cons: The sauces didn't offer as much flavor as other other tzatziki sauces I've tried. The bread was hard and dry There wasn't enough food to warrant the high price It didn't come with any sort of side It needed more meat The store could have benefited from some music or increased German ambiance.

I won't be coming back but don't entirely regret giving this...

I hate leaving a bad review on a local small business but this place was not good. We spent 32.00 to get a quick bite of food that was flavorless.

We got the curry bratwurst and the döner kebab. The curry-wurst the only flavor came from the curry sauce which wasn’t a great curry sauce.

The Döner kebab was dry and 80% bread. They would do well either tripling the tzatziki sauce they put on it or switching to pita wraps. The meat itself was okay.

Overall this place was pretty disappointing. I would skip it unless they provide an update that they have...
