My dog groomer is in Hinkley and when I bring two of my dogs to be groomed it takes about two hours for the both of them to be groomed. On Thursday I had time on my hands so I planned to go to Dairy Joy for an ice cream come which I have had several times there before.
When I walked in, I decided to look over the menu and have a meal. I decided on the chicken sandwich. That happened to be on special. Glad I picked that. I received a the perfect sized sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, a very generous serving of hot crispy crinkle fries, a small portion of cole slaw, and a diet coke. It was great! One of the better chicken sandwiches I’ve had! I was pleasantly surprised. Too bad we don’t have one of these in Plano, IL. Thank you for the good food, service, and atmosphere! I will highly...
Read moreVery cool place to have lunch or dinner. 60's theme throughout the whole place. Favorite jams from the 60's plays as you eat. There is an indoor and outdoor area to eat. Walk up or dine in. I'd rate customer service a 6/10. I think I was a but happier for a first timer then they were.
The menu has a variety of choices and prices are $$. I didn't take a picture of the desert menu but it went on and on with choices. From Banana Splits to fresh-made Malt drinks or milkshakes. Toppings Galore as well with flavors to choose from. We chose the twisted cones. They come in S, M &L. Which is great for small children! Definitely will be back with the family to try some other must haves like a pizza puff, corn dog or even...

And they are generous with their portions. Of course, being a Drive-in they have to serve food! Dogs, burgers, Fry's, fried cheese curds chicken strips, the menu is too big for this post. Nestled alongside a set of railroad tracks, it's reminiscent of the late 50's and early 60's. Very clean and down to earth...
