Half Moon Tavern — Restaurant in Squaw Grove Township

It's a family owned bar/restaurant. I can't tell if it's more of a restaurant because the food is so good. Their soups alone are phenomenal made in house. If you order a moon burger I hope you brought your appetite because it's a half pound of half ground bacon and half beef on a pretzel roll. Amazing. Large bar. Fantastic atmosphere. And a dining room for a more intimate dinner experience away from the bar. Fridays they have a fish fry. I love the fried walleye. Tbh it's my favorite place to go...

We just had a couple cheeseburgers with a basket of fries. The burgers came with the works(lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayo). The fries are a thinner version. The only problem I had was that I couldn't find a current menu with the prices. I suggest that an update on menu prices should occur. It was also really confusing to try to decipher menu as well. They have wonderful and different specials daily but the main menu kinda gets lost amongst the specials. I will eat...

Went for steak fry .I order the butt steak ..my friend got the ribeye steak . Both where to order, very flavorful and tender..I got the cheesy potato soup with ham.
