I’ve been here many times, as my kids request it, but my husband and I give each other a look when they do because our experience is that a lot of their dishes look and taste the same. On our first visit we ordered orange chicken and sweet and sour pork. The meat came out on identical plates and we couldn’t tell the difference. The sauces were the same texture and color. I tried them and couldn’t tell the difference so I asked about it and the waitress looked at me like I was crazy, insisting they were different (but they looked & tasted EXACTLY the same). On my latest visit I discovered they’ve hiked up the prices for mediocre food (maybe because they’re very generous with the portions?) and the pork was an extra cost. Plus they gave us less of it than an identical chicken dish and it was so old and dry I could barely choke it down. Can't say enough good about this place!!!! The service is always fast, the food is large in portion, and the owners and waitresses are beyond friendly. Heads up - if you want noodles with meat, cabbage, and onions... Get the LO MIEN. Chow mien is celery and onions over hard crunchy noodles. It's a common mistake. For the people that are complaining about prices and getting charged extra for substitutions - The owners do everything they can to keep prices low!! They can't help that the prices of eggs and chicken are so high right now. (And yes, charging extra to take something out of a dish makes complete sense when they make things in bigger batchces and have to make yours separate). I rarely give 3 star reviews. So details. 1 star for speed of service. We got there at 530, left at 7. That's not ok ever. 20 minutes to order 60 minutes to appetizers. We were got fried portions with the appetizers. 10 minutes more for meals. Wow. 4 stars food. Fried food was overcooked yet light in color, so low frier temperature. Quantity of food was extra, However egg rolls were tiny. A normal egg roll is 1-1.5" x 4". These were 5/8" x 2". Good chow mein.
