Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in St. James

Every time I go to this sonic they mess up my order. Literally pay extra for cherries in my drink just the other day and I never got them. Had zesty fries with the same order, no zesty sauce. Ordered mozzarella sticks and they never put in the marinara( Literally every time). I add extra marinara thinking maybe they will at least give me the extra one, but no. Do they not read the order. Are they not trained to read a ticket and put what is on the ticket in the bag? Do they not check the order to ensure accuracy? I could reach out to management and get it fixed if I drive back wasting my gas, but what is the point. Fixing one order doesn't fix the problem. Who has the time to go back for what should have been included everytime you order. I have 15+ years in food service, seems to me the management isn't doing their job.If you do anything specific ie light ice, no ketchup so on, it will be made how it is listed on the menu. The stars aligned for me to have my worst Sonic experience at this location. Went through the drive thru and there was nobody behind me. The lady suggested I pull into a spot if I didn't know what I wanted. This was after - I'm not even exaggerating - 10 seconds of me looking at the menu. I guess at this location you have to know exactly what you want immediately upon entering the drive thru. Ordered my food, took an average amount of time, no problem. Go down the road and start to eat it. I asked for ranch and got barbecue. Ok, you don't get paid enough to look at sauces, I get it. Ordered the popcorn chicken and was pretty disappointed. I think I got the bottom of the bag because probably 40 percent of my chicken was actually just fried breading and crumbs. I paid like 11 bucks or something like that for a large meal. It's great to have a drive-in restaurant so close to home. The quality of the food and the variety on their menu are outstanding. We get to enjoy some of our favorite foods from years ago; corn dogs and chili cheese dogs, just to name a few. Shakes at Sonic Drive-In are always delicious and they have a good choice of flavors. If you haven't been to Sonic, you don't know what you're missing.

One thing I really appreciate is the full menu all day. Because of appointments, we often need a fast breakfast after other fast-food restaurants have quit serving breakfast. Other fast-food restaurants mass prepare their breakfasts and will not accommodate my wife's allergies. Sonic prepares her breakfast burrito after we order and leave off what she is allergic to.

When I travel and see a Sonic sign, I know I've found a restaurant I can count on for great food...
