Economy Inn — Hotel in St. James

During the fortnight that I was helping my brother & his wife relocate from KissimmeeFL to FloydVA, we needed to move household items from RollaMO too. With a rare day off, we decided to do what everybody should do when in the Ozarks during the Summer: float a clear/cold stream! As I had made reservations with Mark at outdoor adventures (formerly Fagans) in Steelville, this fine motel was the best/closest/least expensive overnight to ensure being on the water by (09:00). |It’s location was very easy to access off I-44, the main artery between Chicago & Santa Monica (formerly US66, the “mother road”). The ground level 2-bedded room was perfect accommodation for me & my best friend from high school (class of ‘74). While no brekkie is available, there is a succulent McDonalds adjacent next door, also perfect for me to start my day with coffee and a delicious “#2”! The bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom more than adequate, and the flat screen full of color/sharp images. I found my discussion with the owner/operator illuminating when speaking about locations in India, notably Mumbai (formerly Bombay), and I am looking forward to returning once this cursed COVID19 is under control.|This is definitely my kind of overnightery, and it certainly has my coveted “¡Wheel...

I was seriously blown away by the couple at the front desk, very nice husband and wife came out to greet me gave me an awesome rate I was reluctant And expecting to see a disaster or at the very minimum a horrible room dirty sheets etc what I found was a slightly outdated room however for 50 bucks you can't beat it it actually has a flat screen TV clean sheets a very comfortable bed and actually decorated pretty nice considering you can tell the couple is doing the best they can that's a little place out of the way right off the interstate you can't miss it trust me a 50 bucks I've seen a lot worse town in Texas for 50 bucks my wife and I almost got bed bugs we slept on the sheets with our clothes on so if you need a place to stay where you at night or whenever you don't want to spend a lot you're not worried about it looking old a little bit trust me give this place a chance it's really really worth the money we're traveling all the way from clovis to West Virginia it's definitely worth the stop hats off to the owners or actually doing so well with this place I'll give it five stars...

This is a very nice motel to search out when visiting Missouri. I have said this many times before and I am sure I will say it many more. The iIndian families from “INDIA” are the best hotel managers and owners in our Country. We have traveled for work for many years and are very well schooled on motel accommodations. Do not waste your money on fancy places with all the hidden charges for”Incidentals” They often boast Pets are welcome and over charge you coming in the door. Rude has a whole new meaning to those this applies to.

The India people come to this country, proud to become citizens, follow the laws and treat us like family.

You will not find nicer people in this area or for the most part in this Country. We travel 39 states and can certainly attest to this fact.

The room was super clean, as nice as the fancy motels, new micro wave and. New fridge. Also great mattresses( something you do not often find in the “fancy” ones.
