Chelsea Cafe — Restaurant in St. Louis

This doesn’t really qualify as a coffee shop honestly. There aren’t typical tables to sit at to be with friends or a partner. It’s usually too sunny to sit at the bar/table they do have. The coffee was more bitter than it is at usual places. The barista was not kind and did not have much customer service skills. This is located inside of an apartment complex so you’ll have a lot of people coming in and out (with dogs too). They had no accessible napkins so I’d recommend that. They were out of two of the five milks they offer - restocked over an hour later. They do have a patio. The inside really is stunning. I’d only recommend coming here if you’re alone or just wanting to sit down with a friend or two to chat. If this was a genuine coffee shop, it would be amazing. If I lived here, it would be a great addition. But as far as coffee shops…I wouldn’t consider it one or recommend it over others. I wanted to love it all but...

This cafe serves the best iced coffee drinks! I always get greeted by the manager Josh, who is always very friendly & helpful. He introduced me to try a drink with espresso, hazelnut, white mocha, oat milk (ICED), & it’s been my go to ever since. They now have pumpkin drinks which are also so so good! Beautiful cafe! I came back a separate time to try again after I found the doors locked during business hours. This second time, the building was open but no worker attended the counter and there was no sign stating staff were on break. I left feeling confused and plan to not return. Wish they put more effort in communicating their hours...
