I've stopped in for dessert twice, and both times I've been disappointed in what I got. The selection of what they had for pastries/baked goods was nowhere near as plentiful as what was posted in pictures and I stopped in less than an hour after they opened. And the second time I stopped in, I got a slice of chocolate cake which I'm pretty sure was just a repackaged slice of Tuxedo Cake from Sam's Club. It tasted just like it, and even had the same chocolate insignia on top that the Sam's Club version has. One of the only other things they had (brownies) also looked exactly like the brownies that they sell at Sam's Club.
There's a ton of good bakeries/ice cream shops in STL. Maybe these places set my standards too high, but I don't see a reason to spend your money here when you have way better...
Read moreThey just went under new ownership and the new owners are lovely. Ice cream is good, my partner got a sundae and they only charged him for a single scoop. They now serve funnel cakes which were very tasty! Looking forward to seeing how the new owners update the business; they immediately introduced themselves to us and were genuinely friendly. They told us they plan to stay open for longer hours and have coffee and grab-and-go food items in the mornings. I hope they update the baked goods they have for sale, that definitely needs a revamp.
