I've been curious about this restaurant after seeing a great review on Tiktok, so I decided to give them a try. First, let me say, this is one of my affectionately referred to "lil whole in the walls." This is not an insult by any means. I love finding a small or charming family owned business, coming out of the kitchen with a meal loaded with love and pride. That's exactly what I got at Lily's. My ABSOLUTE favorite thing about this restaurant was the 'Welcome' feeling and the customer service. You feel more like you're walking into your friends home, and his mom is "cooking her a$$ off" in the kitchen (you'll see her cooking when you eat there). They start you off like the typical Mexican restaurant does with nacho's and salsa. Here's what's cool, though : they've got a salsa bar with fresh, housemade salsa. You go right up and serve yourself. You can try different flavors. I thought that was really cool. Now I'll be honest, it took a while to get our food. Be patient, because if you look in the kitchen, you'll see each order is made fresh. Once our food was received, it was definitely worth waiting for. All of the staff were nice and friendly. They were even concerned and checked to see if we liked the food quite often. It was definitely delicious and good old-fashioned service with a smile. I will definitely be back. Give them a try, the food and...

Came to the place because my wife saw it on some tiktok. It's not a bad place, but being from So Cal and half Mexican, it's a bit bland, but that's to be expected when you go for Mexican food in the midwest.

The "hot" sauce is not hot if you have a taste for spicy foods.

I ordered the #15: 1 Tostada, 1 Taco (Hard shell), and 1 Sope with rice and beans. My wife ordered the #1 Carne Asada with rice & beans that came with 3 tortillas.

Overall, the food was edible. The tostada and the shell of the taco were freshly fired, always a plus, but the sope masa was really thin. Maybe some people just make them that way but not in my family.

My wife said the Carne wasn't juice enough (a bit dry) for her and was over peppered.

We also ordered a side of guacamole, which was kind of bland as well but not bad. Lastly, I ordered a Jose Silver margarita (pictured), which was pretty good considering they used a margarita mix.

All that being said, the service was amazing! The people are super friendly and accommodating. Even if the prices are a lil high for what they...

Great restaurant on S. Kingshighway. Mom, Dad and Son family business. You go up to the window to order food. We started with margaritas and queso. We tried the margaritas with grand marnier and it was smooth and very enjoyable. Salvador, the father, is the bartender and cashier. Salvador is very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered from the son who pointed out his favorites on the menu. He said they’ve been in business 24 years, 21 years at their current location. The son said his Mom is the chef. After you order you receive a tray with tortilla chips and small containers for salsa. They have a small bar with three salsas from mild to spicy. The queso seems homemade and not from a jar. It has a cheesier taste and consistency which we liked. I got the steak fajitas and they were good. The meat needs more seasoning. Most of the meat pieces were tender. I really like the grilled bell peppers. There’s no parking lot but it was easy to find street parking near...
