Went to this White Castle at 10:00 at night and ordered 2 of the 4.99 meals. When my husband and I pulled to the window to pay my husband asked the woman "Rhonda" who was the night manager if we could add on a order of fish nibblers. She replied, " yes but you would have to pull back around." "Ok", he stated. We pulled back around attempting to get into the drive throug line and there were 6 cars ahead of us within a matter of minutes. In the meantime, the 2 mess that we had previously ordered were sitting on the counter (mind you, White Castle doesn't have a warmer) getting cool. It took approximately 20 minutes to get back to the window and pick up the entire order due to the line. When we arrived back at the window we asked was the food hot and if not can we get the two fries and burgers hot! The young lady who had taken "Rhonda" place asked Rhonda if we could get the food remade. Rhonda said no, since we pulled off the food has been sitting and we couldn't get it remade. We figured it would only take twoinutes to remake the food. I'm a former employee of White Castle so I'm well aware of how to flip a burger and top it off with cheese in under 10 seconds. She had a very nasty attitude and we asked for a full refund. We also asked for her name and the general manager name and Rhonda said, "they already have my name and don't need the gm name". I asked for the corporate number and she states that it's all on the receipt. Very rude and nasty attitude. You wonder why some ppl are stuck at fast food restaurants at 30smh.. no customer service. I think the young lady at the register said the gm name is Frances. If so, I'm sure this is the same Frances that managed Nat. Bridge and Kongahighway. I plan on reaching corporate either by email, phone or mail and making a complaint. Very unprofessional, rude, inconsistent and inconsiderate. I will not visit this location and will tell many to stay away from this specific location due to the lacy of customer service...
Read moreWanted to visit WC one more time during Lent to get the Fried Clam Strips which are almost as good as the ones they used to have at Howard Johnson's. Tried to call to see if they had them but it bounced to voice mail. Tried to order Online but location was listed as "Offline". Went to Salt n Smoke instead. Probably a better choice overall.
Experience 5 months later. Honesty, sincerity, and good customer service can completely turn an experience around. I have been seeing the 1921 Original Sliders commercial for a bit so I wanted to give them a try. The lobby was closed so I had to go through the drive through. The wait was extremely long, over 30 minutes, the order person completely screwed up my order. I didn't get half of what I ordered, and I might have gotten some of the person behind me order. But here is the saving grace. The order taker explained the situation beforehand and apologized saying they were slammed and there were only two people working inside. WC is now hiring and offering $13.25 starting hourly wage. Higher than the two other burger joints close by, and yet they can not find enough people (this is still below the $15.00 / hour nationwide target starting living wage). Somehow an honest assessment of the situation made me more more tolerant. Perhaps I am feeling a bit benevolent because I saw the "Tyranny of the Yelp Reviewer" episode of South Park last night. Maybe it is just because when folks are honest with us, we can be a bit more tolerant.
I would write a separate review but Google Maps will only let us review one location one time. By the way, the 1921 Slider was pretty good, as were the Fish Nibbles that were substituted for my...
Read moreI pre-ordered & arrived about 30m later. I made the mistake of telling them I would pick up at the drive-thru. I waited in line for almost an hour. I have a bad back so this is why I chose the method.
When I got to the speaker, I was immediately told it would be a 30m wait for burgers. I then gave my order #. I was asked to repeat the entire order & # 2x. Then I was told to wait. After 5-10m I was told to pull forward.
When I finally got to the window I was asked for the # again. Then the human quoted me a price padded by $10. I asked her why the extra $. She began to argue that she didn't do that. I refused to engage her on the subject any further. But a manager began to explain something to the human. Suddenly I was quoted the correct amount.
I handed the human my card, as I was handed the food. Quickly thereafter my card was returned. Suddenly I was told my card didn't go through. Given all the trouble & the hostile tone I experienced. My first thought, drive off. But I gave her the card. "Thank you! Have a nice day", were the last words spoken to me.
In case you haven't noticed. Delivery services don't like White Castle. You will frequently be handed off to driver after driver until the delivery services cancels the order. It's because White Castle doesn't respect its consumers. They are trying to get people to open stores in the south, Crystals territory.😂 Only a fool would invest in the store. Given that Crystals has a lock on the territory & with the companys acceptance of poor service. You will...
