Very happy to have found this place. All-around great atmosphere, and a great place for some real Cajun/Creole and authentic New Orleans style food. The gumbo and jambalaya were both spot-on excellent. Family-owned and operated restaurant by some great people who've relocated to St. Louis several years ago from NOLA. Had a great conversation the owner of the place swapping fishing stories and life in southern Louisiana. The owner says they haven't been in business here that long, only opened about 3 months ago. With such an awesome establishment and good quality food, I'm sure it'll grow and become a pretty popular place. I'll definitely be back as long as I'm in the area, can't wait to go back for a poboy and alligator. He said they'll likely be open for Thanksgiving dinner also; I'm definitely looking forward to that too.

This place is on point. We got authentic New Orleans eats! The alligator saw great seeing how I had never tried it before, but that clock (the mouth of the gator)made me wanna try the fresh catch! The dipping sauces put the extra on the top of the shrimp as well. We also had the red beans and rice that was made to perfection and the green beans were as if we were in granny's kitchen. MAN, them damn FRIED PIES! We left too early because i definitely want to try the other flavors. We had amongst us, the coconut, raspberry cream cheese, cherry cream cheese and lemon. Last, but definitely not least, THE SERVICE! The young man at the bar DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE! I appreciate the hospitality! We will definitely be back! I left a pic of all that I have left! 🤷🏾‍♀️❤️🔥

Here is the deal! The atmosphere is truly southern hospitality. You would have to go south in order to understand what i'm talking about: strangers that make you feel like family, and you have known them for decades. Everything was absolutely delicious. I believe this statement is an understatement. Let me tell you about this fish. That I was unable to eat but had it for breakfast it was light, It was fluffy, and believe it or not It held me until dinner. See sky blue bowl. I had an alcoholic beverage. It put me in the right mood. That's what I'm talking about. Listen, family, I will not steer you wrong. Go down there to try New Orleans cuisine, and there will be no difference than being in New Orleans and eating New Orleans, cuisine right here in the STL!

I absolutely love supporting my local black businesses. If everything I bought in my life came from a black business that's what I would call a perfect life.

Nevertheless the food was waaaaaay too salty. I took back my first order cuz there was no way I could get through it. I didn't want my money back I just wanted something I could eat that didn't make me feel like I was eating a tablespoon of salt in every bite! There's a fine line between seasonings and salty and I'm sorry they crossed over to the way too much salt category.

The second batch wasn't as salty but it was still too salty. When I took it back the service they provide me with was superb and they were happy to accommodate me and was above and beyond.

I was informed that the food is preseason ( presalty in this case) so they said they rinse off the food and cook it again. it was a little less salty but still too salty for my taste when you use a lot of salt you drown out the flavor. The fish was flaky and the shrimp were plump but the saltiness just took over. Now it may fit somebody's taste just not mine. will I go back? Of course I'm just going to avoid the fried stuff . The red beans and rice were good a little salty but manageable but the shrimp and the fish I'm sorry it literally tasted as if a box of salt fell into their seasoning batch because that's all you could taste. But give them a try I'm not going to hang them out to dry but that was the saltiest food I've ever gotten from a restaurant.

As a caterer and in food service for more than 30 years get you some onion powder garlic powder, Sazon, black pepper and for every cup of seasoning add a half teaspoon of salt and mix it together in the seasoning and whatever you do, do not, do not, do not ,do not, do not, use...
