I continue to seek out the small business owners everywhere I go... In St Louis this weekend for a business event, we (child and I), sought out food other than from a chain restaurant and found Seasoned To The Bone Jamaican Restaurant. She loves grilled chicken, and this was the place I found that best suited little's taste buds. The jerk sauce is very flavorful and not too overpowering spicy - it's got just the right kick. The cabbage and rice blended together nicely with the flavor of the chicken. And what I really enjoyed were the drink options. Not only do they offer Jamaican sodas, they prepare fresh juices daily sweetened with agave instead of sugar - a real treat for me!! Beets and beet juice are difficult for my tastebuds to process, but I try to drink the juice and eat the vegetable for health benefits - I tried the beetroot juice and it was awesome! A definite go-back-and-get-again. And for dessert, we were offered a sweet dough called "festival" - something I had never heard of before. It was really good! Support this business and eat good food.

I just ate Jerk Chicken from "Seasoned To The Bone Jamaican Restaurant," and it was absolutely delicious! In my opinion, it's hard to find good Jamaican food in St. Louis. This Jamaican food was so good. The meat was very well seasoned. They didn't just rely on their jerk sauce to save the day. The rice and peas were flavorful also. The cabbage was seasoned and so savory. The plantains, lord the plantains, were caramelized, sweet, and delicious. I ordered mild jerk sauce. It was tasty, too. It had a nice, spicy kick. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I will most definitely try more of their food. Such a big yummm! ***Update*** Yesterday, when I ate this food, it was delivered through Door Dash. The food was so good that I went back today in person for take-out. The Jamaican gentleman who helped me was so nice and even shared how he became such a great cook from his grandmother. Tonight, I had the Rasta Pasta, Yellow rice, Jerk Chicken, and those delicious plantains. Fresh, friendly service and good portions again. Give this place a try!

I was in the middle of eating my SECOND plate of jerk chicken and said, “hollon lemme leave a review. It’s just too good!” I love jerk chicken and I really don’t eat from many STL restaurants because the food quality and taste never is good. I travel a lot and I can honestly say that this is the best Jamaican food in St.Louis. I’ve been to them all! I’ve ordered so much jerk chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage from places all over the city and something was always off but not here! It’s truly seasoned to the bone but not overly seasoned. The flavors are amazing, it’s not super spicy or saltly like I a lot of other places. It taste like jerk chicken! Not bbq chicken with a lil bit of jerk sauce but JERK CHICKEN! I’m rambling but man oh man I haven’t ate this good in a minute! Can’t wait to try the oxtails. My little sister so picky but she ate her whole plate! She said and I quote, “this fye!”
