Cove Beach Grill — Restaurant in Stamford

I have gone here two days in a row! If I lived near I would be here VERY often. I’m not big on fried food and have been looking for some good fries.

LITERALLY THE BEST FRIES IVE EVER HAD. the only thing I would change is add skins (I love skins on my fries).

The fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They aren’t salty. They’re piping hot. They’re just Perfect!

The fish sandwich is good. The fish is fresh and flakey. The breading is flavorful and crisp.

The burger is a good standard burger. It’s nice to get a burger that’s just a good old cheese burger. It’s served on a Kaiser roll (which I love). The bread holds its own and has good flavor but doesn’t over power the rest of the ingredients. Not gourmet but really good as a standard burger. The only thing I would change is maaaybe make it with grass fed beef, but then the price point would change. And here, THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

Oh! And the onion rings are battered (not breaded), delicious and not too oily!!!

I love that everything is not over salted. Too often, American food is too salty.

Oh, and the mix for the fountain coke is PERFECT! better than most McDonald’s. Nice and bubbly… not too much syrup in the mix. Just really good. (I love coke and am often disappointed, but this coke was perfect!).

On too of that the staff is super nice!

Lester and the staff at Cove Beach Grill went above and beyond today! Today is my fiancé’s birthday! I’m in Arizona and she is in CT currently. I found out my fiancé was going to Cove Beach Grill for dinner and that she’s be there in a matter of minutes. I called the restaurant, spoke to Lester and asked him if him or the team could wish her a happy birthday from Nate. Lester gathered four team members, played a happy birthday song on the radio, and they sang happy birthday to her. My wife and I love trying places that are small and local. Cove Beach Grill is AWESOME and a must try! They are a little off of exit 9 in Stamford. Worth the little detour. I had the Petey burger and my wife and a Double cheeseburger with fries. The fries were GREAT! The double was DELICIOUS, the Petey was INCREDIBLE and deserves to be known across the nation!
