Papa's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Standish

Papa's is open seasonally, and when they are open you should go. Often. Repeatedly. With multiple hard ice cream flavors and generous portions, they are sure to please hungry kids and warm and weary adults alike. They change out their soft serve flavors every month, always offering chocolate and vanilla twist, and cycling through a variety of others for the other machine. Customer service is excellent, with every employee always cheerful, helpful, and prompt. They hire local students during the summer, and train them well, which I consider a plus because it's a great way to help the kids get a first job. This business is easy to find and access, but can be really tough to exit. They have a great selection of flavors mostly in hard ice cream, but a few in soft serve also. They have lots of sundaes, frappes, and shakes. Closing for the season October 10th 2022. There's parking for only about 10 vehicles in the roadside area, but room for another 15-20 in the back lot. So my hip hurt there wasn't any parking so I parked in the front of the building and I was going to get my ice cream and leave. But instead they lost the sale. So the 5 minutes that they could have waited. The people who take the time to go to your place instead of doing doordash are less important. And Just because somebody doesn't have a handicap sign on their vehicle doesn't mean they're parking there cuz they're lazy. That has to be the worst...
