Zero rating is more like it. I just went in there to pick up my order and he gave me the wrong order and he came out and told me when I was pulling out and if I can come back in. I went back in and he totalled what I actually ordered and when I saw the total I said so I owe you $3.00 (I have paid $37 for the 1st order with 20% tip $44) he said well this is a difficult situation so I ask what he meant and he said I had to pay for the $40 too since he couldn't take the order back because of COVID so I told him that I'm not about to pay $90 for my dinner tonight and that it's not my fault. He actually said that it was my fault because he asked me if I ordered a burrito and I said yes which I did, (while he was asking me the lady behind him started talking to him in Spanish which I didn't understand but I think she was trying to tell him that he's giving me the wrong order) but instead of confirming my order and trying to listen to what the lady was telling me he finished my transaction and when I got in my car called me back. I have been going to this establishment for the past 4 years and he knows me. I guess I am more disappointed that he blamed me for making the mistake and he didn't even think of how he can resolve this situation with a long time customer and that he really thought I will just gladly pay another $45. Customer service 101 "the customer is always right" and you call yourself...
Read moreI've almost always had a good experience but after today I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could. I ordered a burrito gigante and while they were making it I asked what the sauce was when they said Mole I asked if there were peanuts because I am allergic and they weren't able to give me an answer because the person who makes it wasn't there. They then late assured me that there were no peanuts but we're not able to tell me what the ingredients were.
I told them that I wasn't comfortable with that answer and they said that it was my fault for not asking earlier despite there being no mention of mole on the menu. I ordered a regular burrito because I wasn't comfortable with the mole and they gave me something entirely different. At this point I asked if I could please have a refund and I would just go elsewhere and they again blamed me and said they wouldn't refund me.
I will never be returning to this restaurant because I take my health very seriously and I feel like they played with me and were very unprofessional by straight up saying "this is...
Read moreAuthentic Mexican food! I grew up in Southern California and I was starting to think I wasn't going to find good Mexican food locally. The food is legit, has great flavors, and their bottled salsa will put you over the top.
We tried their Carnitas, Tamales with Mole sauce, and both came with beans and rice. I knew I was in a different type of restaurant when my food showed up at my table with Cacique cheese sprinkled on the beans. It's how it should be; traditional. Their rice was good. You would think that it wouldn't be that difficult, but many other eateries just can't seem to get it right.
It's the little details that set them apart. The salsa on the table is totally homemade, not store bought. Freshly made orchata is served as well. These details show me they care and try very hard to serve great food.
It's not flashy, but it is immaculately clean and friendly. We enjoy eating here...
