Stopped by with my head full of worry over my Mother in the hospital and had an uplifting conversation with the owner who left me with the feeling of more purpose than I showed up with. If the place is empty, it has more to do with the police than anything. When I first returned from college I thought a small incident others did that I was taking the blame for wasn't a big deal and the officer was Chris Geoff, a Jock bully like guy from High School. Staples did have a gang stalking issue around 10 years in the past. That's when the police use their authority to bully the less fortunate. I wish I stayed out of town because a cop I graduated high school with kept picking me up for on probation violation after another for doing things like walking down the sidewalk and picking up groceries. He turned a misdemeanor into a felony and effectively turned all my skills useless. Where once I was competed over, now I can't fill out applications without them stopping if you are honest.
Worst of all, I got in trouble because an acquaintances girlfriend who I was aware had a thing for me, took advantage of how drunk I wax and tried sleeping with me. But I quickly noticed her soft belly was nothing like the toned body of my girlfriend and I looked at her and nearly vomited. (Not for her looks or anything, but because I really loved my girlfriend and what the girl on top of me was doing made me think of my ex and how she would hold me at knife point to perform, so I ended up throwing her off the bed, rushing her out the door and locked it. Well, she decided to tell her boyfriend that I slept with her the next day and he got on his bicycle with a kitchen knife literally screaming "I'm going to Kill Him" as he rode his bike to my place and by the time he arrived the police were there waiting for him.
So he said I was the one who took that (very worthless computer I pointed out immediately when Hayden showed up with it. But they still blamed Me, the high school nerd who had an awesome system of my own. I had to confess because they threatened to jail my friends and family could read the paper they had written for me into the tape recorder. Or tell on the others at the party, but not only would I never tell on someone (unless murder or something) most were college kids with a future and I thought my one sacrifice would save them... Most got into meth and went to prison. :( And ironically, Jail is the best place to learn how to be a criminal!
So, I had 10 years probation and a year over my head, but every time Chris Geoff saw me, especially if he had a relative or a girl in a car, he'd put on these stupid sun glasses and chase me down. Not reporting an interaction with an officer to my PO was a violation so literally being seen by a cop was a violation. He picked me up so many times I did the entire year in jail. And to make it worse, the local paper didn't say probation violation, but called it at "2nd degree robbery" So if you're at a party and you get upset that people are breaking things, you better join in or you may end up with a felony.
How does this relate? Well, they didn't just do it to me. If you are parked outside of lefty's and leave. Well, you're pulled over. Couple that with no public transportation and there's nowhere to go. :(
Not every cop is bad. I was pulled out of a party when I only had 3 months left of the jail over my head and I remember thinking I was having so much fun that night, that of course they are going to bring me in. He brought me to the station where he was the only one there and brought me into a room I hadn't ever been before, he looked around, locked the door sat across from me and told me to get out of town as soon as I got the chance.
