El Veracruz Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Starkville

We were there two weeks ago. They were busy when we got there, but we got a table right away. After our order was taken, we never saw our waitress again. Someone else refilled our drinks and chips while we waited on our order for two hours. After the first hour, 2 plates of food were brought out, leaving 3 people without food still. Over a period of 45 minutes, the rest of out food was brought out, one being just rice that was supposed to have cheese with it, but they had brought that out earlier so by this point it was nasty. One dish was made wrong and had to be sent back. Never got drink refills after food starting coming out. Just was not a good experience that day and if we ever decide to return, it won’t be...

My family and I really enjoy El Veracruz Mexican Restaurant! We normally dine in and have always received friendly service and tasty food. The decor is nicely themed like other mexican restaurants we have been to before. This trip we decided on carryout. We bought two Burrito Tropicals, two Burrito Supremes, and queso dip, which included salsa dip and chips. We enjoyed our meal, however dining in is better. We appreciated the clear plastic tops on our containers, because our dislike of aluminum bottom with the white tops that other places package food in. El Veracruz got it right! Tasty food, good customer service, chill atmosphere, and affordable prices is what you'll get at El Veracruz Mexican Restaurant!...

I typically have had good experiences here. Today, not so much. It was a to go order, so I didn't have alot of time to spare. I got there, and it was incorrect. They had to go back and fix it, which I understand that mistakes happen. Got back to my office; everything was bad. First of all, the salsa cup was only half full. Secondly, the chips were stale...very stale. The worst aspect was that the remade food was cold; not even lukewarm. The chicken was not tender and the tortilla tasted as though it was straight out of the package. Severely disappointed. Money wasted. Will take me a while to forget about this...
