Sweet Peppers Deli — Restaurant in Starkville

I sadly moved away from Starkville 7 years ago, but am back for a holiday visit with friends/family. I stopped by Peppers to satiate my desire to re-live nostalgic times and Peppers hit the spot! The ambience at night (when I visited) is absolutely perfect. The restaurant was extremely clean and nice. There is a new addition (at least within the last 7 years 😂) of self-serve kiosks for ordering, which I thought were a fantastic addition. I had the club and a cup of crawfish bisque. The club is EXACTLY how I remember it, and though the bisque was new for me, I absolutely enjoyed it. The cashier was incredibly friendly, my service was expedient, and I enjoyed the addition of the take out parking spaces. 5 out of 5, can't wait to drop by again in the future to pick up the chocolate eruption cake I didn't have space for...

Nice deli where you will get so many options. I love the sandwiches, mostly panini style. It’s a good idea to pick half sandwich half soup/ salad/ baked potato type options. They can serve soup in bread bowls. I tried the baked potato ( I think you will get this option everyday), which was decent. Honestly I have had this soup much better in different places. But I love the Sicilian sandwich. Loaded baked potato was also very filling and tasty. They have a lot of cake slices for those having a craving for something sweet. I visited Sweet Peppers for the first time in years and I didn't care for the food again. I ordered nachos, not sure exactly what kind but they weren't good. Before ordering I asked that the ranch and whatever other sauces to be placed on the side but they weren't. When asked if my food was good by the waiter I said "no". He responded by laughing and saying "Well you sure are eating it". I laughed it off but said I didn't not like it again. Back at square one and no good food as the waiter went on.
