Hardee’s — Restaurant in Statesville

A new low by any standard.

Very tight timeline for Lunch day before yesterday so decided to just run through the drive through at the Hardee's next door.

Pulled up to the intercom just as a pickup truck was pulling around to pay and pickup.

5 minutes later, they still did not have his order ready. Waited another three and pulled out of line and parked in front of the front door and went in. This may sound rather straight forward but I was on crutches awaiting hip replacement surgery which I had yesterday so I was not moving very fast.

Stood in line and the same pickup truck was still at the window. When he pulled off, I called out to the manager that my order was somewhere in the takeout line and I did not want someone else getting a wrong order.

Manager asked the girl at the take out window and they just shrugged and I'm ignored me.

Hobbled out of the store on the crutches, got into my car, backed up and was starting to pull away when the manager came out with bag in hand.

Said they did not understand what I was trying to tell them. Guess they had someone in the drive through get a wrong order.

After a total of 15 min, I told the manager to forget it and I would go elsewhere where I could at least place and order...

Buiscuits so hard you can't eat them most mornings and if you ask to get them replaced they get tossed at you and you listen to the blonde headed lady flash her hand in your face and explain why buiscuits are crunchy on top and soft in the middle and how it doesn't matter they all taste the same and she will continue to tell you this even after you explained your teeth are bad so you just need a softer biscuit and as if that isn't humiliating enough she will continue to tell you out loud until you are all the way out the door! I was so embarrassed I WILL NEVER EVER STEP A FOOT BACK IN THERE. To the cashier that was extremely nice and that I complimented your eyebrows because they were so pretty, thank you for your wonderful attitude and I'm sorry because you looked as embarrassed as me. I hope you don't have to work under those conditions. I was extremely nice so I can only imagine how she treats staff and other customers. The most horrific experience I've ever had in my 44 yrs. That created a very hostile environment and belittling and bullying a customer should never be aloud. No food, even when it's good is worth this kind...

A large portion of the staff greet every customer, very friendly, use manners almost always and they always have a smile on. There are a few rude employees, but that is every where, everyone has a bad day every now and then. There food here is not as good as the one near the courthouse and CVS downtown, it is really hard, dry and old at the Times gas station location. Its fair on cleanliness but you can tell that no major detail work gets done on machines, counters, cabinets, etc. Maybe they dont follow their required daily/weekly/shift/monthly cleaning/other duities schedule. It is a newer store which is a nice plus when it comes to the bathrooms. It is connected to Times, so easily accessible but it can become congested thrpughout the day as well as making getting out of the parking lot HORRIBLE AND IT TAKES FOREVER!!! This is the main thing, I believe, that needs to be improved to increase business growth and make it easier for more people to get in and out without backing up the entire area passed the interstate on the right and down towards sheetz on the left.
