Far from a good visit ... there are 2 KFC locations in town. This review is for the one at 1102 Salisbury Rd., Statesville, NC. I had gone once before to this location and had found it NOT meeting expectations. It was dirty and the staff seemed very harried, not like they knew which end was up! We won't return! They were the closest fast food restaurant to a highway exit we needed and felt it was time after 7 years to give them another chance. We shouldn't have! The place was cleaner than the last time but it still looked like the staff was all new and were learning the job. We asked for extra crispy but got regular and it was extremely greasy! According to the posted Health Inspection score, they scored a 94% in their most recent review. I wish I knew what is inspected and the individual scores that got them that score. In any case, it still didn't meet expectations. Next time we decide we want take-out fried chicken, we will find a different place. My score for them on a 1-10 basis with 10 being just about perfect would be at max., a 3! The last was a 1, so they are very slowly improving, but I can't support them as is. We were 3 in the car and 2 of us got sick after eating that very greasy chicken. Definitely NOT up to KFC standards we've seen up and down the eastern coast in our travels!!! We've decided to never return to this...

In the past, this location was well-known for messing orders up and taking an extremely long time; one day, me and my older brother stopped by and it took 25-minutes - almost the entire duration of our lunch break. Several years later, the experience is still terrible,
On may 20th around 10:40PM, I decided to grab a quick bite and wouldn't have made it to the other location near Wal-Mart with the excellent staff and extremely nice customer service. Instead, I had to choose this ghetto location. The moment I arrived to place my order, the first problem started.
Not only did the woman answer late, I seen three people running from a vehicle running after I placed my order and wasn't even in the restaurant! Once they arrived back in, the woman had a terrible attitude and looked at me as i I done something wrong! The expression on her face was bad, tone of voice, and she kept saying "What?!" Worse customer experience service ever!
Even though I told this ignorant woman that I wanted "No ice," she still put ice in it. Wrong order, poor customer support, and overly terrible experience....
Read moreDO NOT use the app ordering from this store! They service ALL IN STORE CUSTOMERS FIRST! I ordered at 310 on app and finally left with the wrong food at 430, my pickup time was 4. I would have been there longer but they substituted my original recipe for crispy. They cannot issue refunds if you order on the app. You are instead taken hostage waiting on the "customer service rep" on the app that does not like their job and is in every way useless. I am a patient person. I watched the manager set out 2 large trays of original recipe chicken "what I ordered in an 8 piece meal" They literally served everyone in the drive through and in the store. then asked an in store customer if they ordered on the app. I say, I did and I've been waiting 20 minutes. there was 1 person and a family of 5 in the store finishing their meal when I got there and no one in the drive through. the service rep on the app said they'd reach out to the hired ups as they dont stand for this but no refund option. instead, you're held hostage at the whim of the app. Note, I frequent this location and through the drive through I've never had a service problem. there is a clear disconnect between the store and the app between serving app customers in line like everyone else and the lack of ability to provide...
