I was in town to attend Merlefest which was a first for me. On Sunday we cut out a little early to get something to eat and found this little gem in Downtown Statesville. When you walk in, it doesn't look like much, open dining area with chairs and tables. We ordered a Bunelo which is their cheese ball, and Guacamole wcon Chicharron as appetizers. If you like more like in your Guacamole, this is the top notch and I would highly recommend. For our entree we split Bandeja Pasta, which had pork belly, steak, sausage, avocado, rice eggs, and beans.
When I say this was delicious, delicious doesn't even give it justice. The food was flavorful, and fresh. My fiancee and I were blown away with how good the food was from such a humble spot. I live about and hour and a half away, but we will be coming back and bringing out family and friends so we can share the experience with them. I don't always write reviews about how good the food is, but this deserved a review, and if you're on the fence about going. Just go. It's well worth the price and everyone there was super friendly and helpful!

Read moreCame here to try the food and its amazing. The portions for the price you pay is worth it. Food was cooked right, came out quick and Catherine our waitress/cashier was busy yet helpful and concerned if we needed anything more or was attentive. She also recommended us the popular Colombian dishes or drinks if we wanted to try any. A+ service and food. Will come here again if I pass by. I had the beef empanada as appetizer and the Bandeja Paisa. My friend got the carne asada and pineapple juice which was good without milk added.
My only gripe is they dont have filter or fountain water, so you pay $2 for a bottle of water. The hot sauce was weak, though I think Im biased considering I have had better sauces or spicy sauces. Other than that it was great and...
