The Watering Hole — Restaurant in Statesville

How do i even begin. I'm not a local but i also don't live too far. me and my husband had came down for the film festival and during one of our visits we came here and i wasn't too pleased with how the people and the owner were talking so negative about the new business down the block. i never leave a review especially a negative one, but the things said was not humane. literally talked about how they convinced people from the film festival to not go there, they talked about stabbing or lighting on fire their guy in the shark costume, getting people to leave bad reviews. like hearing all this just discourages us to never come back down here. in all honesty it sounded like the owner was just jealous of them with everything they was saying. like instead of being negative. like go talk to them and work with them. the bartender over at the other place literally even told us that they didn't want to do draft beer out of respect for them! like WOW, you can clearly see who wants the town to thrive while others want to shut...

Great atmosphere. Andrea was fantastic. She knew what beers to suggest that I would like. The back area was inviting and friendly. Good conversation with bar staff and patrons. Based on the flyers and the events they host they are very supportive of the community and other places. The owner came in toward the end of my time here. She was inviting and thanked me for stopping in. Enjoyed hearing about all the fun downtown things happening over the next few months. The owner gave high recommendations for other downtown businesses - places to shop, eat, and other bars. Looking forward to checking their recommendations out. What a fantastic find! My friends and I stumbled upon this gem while wandering downtown on a Friday night, and it turned out to be an absolute delight. The bartenders here are incredibly friendly and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

We lucked out because they were hosting a karaoke night, and it was an absolute blast. The energy in the place was electric, and we had a great time singing our hearts out.

The seating options, both inside and outside, are plentiful, and the decor adds to the overall charm. It's the perfect spot to unwind and have a good time with friends.
