GIOVANNIS PIZZA & BAKERY — Restaurant in Steelton

I ordered delivery and told the person over the phone that I just moved into town and was looking for a place I could enjoy. I ordered a pizza, cheesesteak and fries. The pizza wasn't bad. Kinda hard to mess up pizza. The fries came in a bag and were soggy by the time they were delivered. Plus the portion size was very small considering the price and that other pizzerias fry portions are at least double. But the most annoying part was I specifically said I wanted "cheesesteak with no onions " "just meat and cheese " I even said "no cooked onions in the meat or raw onions in the sandwich " the guy repeated every time I strongly emphasized no onions. And my sub came LOADED with onions. Looked them up on Facebook to complain and discovered numerous sanitation complaints with their food. Won't be ordering again. Too bad my kids love pizza we're going to have to find another pizzeria in our area. Oh and the specials they have advertised online right on the very top of their menu don't even exist and...

Giovanni’s used to be the best spot in Steelton. I’m not sure if it’s supply chain issues or business changing hands but it’s gone downhill in the last six months. They’re really good at making classic things like italian subs and cheese pizzas, but nearly everything else is bland and haphazard now. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sub to try something new and would’ve been better off dumping white queso on ham and chunks of chicken. The new bread for the subs is awful. Food is put together lazily. Delivery keeps showing up colder and colder every time. With rising prices this place is really just not worth it anymore unless you want a basic pizza.

Let me start off by saying that I am Puerto Rican so I know what Spanish food is supposed to taste like.
