As much as I love DQ, I can't in good conscience recommend this one. My buddy and I went through the drive thru Saturday I ordered the bbq chicken, and a vanilla shake. He ordered a quarter pound bacon cheeseburger only, no meal.
Strike 1 happened when the person taking the order failed to understand my buddy's request because he didn't use a number so they could figure out how to ring it up. This was right after discussing which of their burgers most closely fit what he was asking for. After all that, she asked what number item he wanted. Then after being so helpful and knowledgeable just moments before, she became very obtuse and insisted he order with a menu item number. My buddy, who never saw the menu item number, answered a quarter pound bacon cheeseburger, just the sandwich, no drink, no fries. Someone else then demanded he use a number because they couldn't figure out what he wanted. Strike 1
We got back to his place only to find we had someone else's order. Not even close... We ended up with a box of butterscotch dilly bars and a box of peanut clusters. We went back to the DQ, less than half an hour later and they all of a sudden got dumb again. It took several attempts to understand the problem. And then, strike 2 happened... After demanding we show a receipt, despite being very precise in our description of our order, the manager type person laughed and said 'oh that order...'
Then proceeded to bebop and snap her fingers as she danced while singing some song softly to herself.
Never once was there an apology, or any attempt to compensate us for the inconvenience.
Then strike 3... Our food came quickly enough, but we had to wait more than 5 minutes for them to agree I was owed a shake, after repeating the flavor, vanilla, 3 or 4 times, then another 7 to 8 for them to actually make it. Of course the food was cold by the time my shake arrived, but we were so angry at this point, that neither of us thought of that as we finally left again.
The food was great, a solid 4 to 5 out of 5. The service... Let's just say I've been treated better by a vending machine. Solid 0 out of 5.
Fyi, my buddy is 40+ and I'm 60+, neither of us are 'kids' by any stretch of the imagination.
As anxiously as I awaited this DQ opening, I will not be going back any time in the foreseeable future. Sorry DQ, this one's a fail. I'll be driving to the one on Fulling Mill road, about 15 minutes away because of the customer service. I will not pay to be the object of some inside...
Read moreI ordered 3 Blizzards via Door Dash for store pickup and when I got there I expected I would be able to just walk in and pick up my order because it was ready at 8:30pm and the store didn't close until 9pm. Nope, door locked. I knocked on the door multiple times and the employees could see me standing there but chose to ignore me, playing on their cellphones and acting like they couldn't hear me.
My only choice was to pick up my order through drive thru which had a line wrapped around the store. When I finally got to the intercom and told them I was here to pickup my Door dash order, they brought it out to me. All three blizzards were melted because they didn't even put my order in the freezer while waiting for me to pick it up.
All of this could have been avoided if they didn't blatantly ignore me when I knocked on the door. They could have AT LEAST said "Hey, you need to pick up through drive thru" and put it in the freezer or make a fresh one since they had to know they had a line around the store.
I won't ever go to another Dairy Queen again and I'm telling my friends and family this story so they don't make the same mistake. $20...
Read moreBought our dinner, and sat down at 10:00pm. We were planning on buying ice cream after eating so it wouldnât melt while we ate. Began eating and a short woman who works here who I want to assume is the manager but was out of uniform, says (with attitude) that we canât continue to eat here because theyâre closing. I was confused because we came here specifically because online, it says the place closes at 10:30. When we asked why the online time stated the incorrect closing time, another worker said âwe put 10:30 because of the Dairy Queen contract but we always close at 10:00â. We stopped eating and walked out, once again letting the short lady know that online it says closing time is 10:30. She then says âI donât know I just work here.â When I walked in at 9:45 she was sitting in the booth with a nasty look on her face, so she honestly couldâve fooled me with that line. Anyways, I had to eat my food in the car & I didnât get my ice cream! This is not how you treat customers. The laziness in certain workers...
