WAY overpriced. I went for breakfast (I’ve been looking for a good sit down Mexican breakfast place since moving back here the first of the year) and the menu offering for chorizo con juevos is for FOUR eggs! That’s twice what it should be and it’s reflected in the cost. I had the plate with water to drink and it was $15. This is a breakfast I get anywhere in the Metroplex for $9-10 and it’s always filling. I told the server that it was too much food when I paid the bill and she said they want you to leave full. Isn’t that what tortillas and chips and salsa are for? The taste was fine. I substituted fries for the rice (don’t care for rice with breakfast) and I may have been charged for it. The food all tasted great, but the "steak" in the chicken fried steak was pounded out thinner than any I've ever seen. It was just about a hair's width bigger than the large tine of the fork I was eating it with at its widest point. I was extremely disappointed with it. The salsa that came with the chips seemed homemade and was delicious. The chips themselves were very good. Everything was cooked perfectly. The unsweetened tea I ordered seemed fresh and was served in a 32oz. cup. The place was very clean. This place has a lot of potential to impress - as long as the steak isn't involved. That steak wafer cost the 2 stars I...
Read moreIr was past my Breakfast time, I didn't want to leave Hwy 281 in Stephensville to eat. Saw Los Arcos that had no front entrance facing main highway. So i off ramped to side of building and went to back to enter . Although some of the furniture is in need of repair or replacement, the food was especially good, as well as the service. Ordered and enjoyed a mammoth sized Western Omelet at a going price.. The owner has her beautiful floral arrangements around the dining area. Some of her bouquets are refrigerated . Hanging from ceiling in one of dining areas are many finely laced knits/dailies. Overwhelmed by the flowers & knitwork in restaurant. Less would probably be better for appearance...
