The Most Illegitimate Cinese Spot I Know!

If I could leave a review without stars I would. I walked in at 3pm a late lunch, absolutely starving. First time there was really craving shrimp, fried rice. I was a little skeptical walking in the restaurant smelled like old oil and not real clean. But because the reviews didn't mention anything about foreign objects or insects in their food I decided to give it a shot.

The woman at the counter asked me what I wanted. I told her just shrimp Fried Rice. Please, she said, that's it.I told her yes, she said what size I said small. And that's when she told me $10.95, now let me tell you I was a little shocked. I'm like, does it come with an egg roll, lol I picked up the menu to see if I wanted to get a combo instead, assuming it would only be a couple bucks more and sure enough, there's shrimp fried rice listed a la carte as $8.95 i pointed to the menu and told her this is what I want. Shrimp, fried rice, small for $8.95 she had the audacity to go back-and-forth with me. Looking for another menu, when the menus were brand new and all stacked up.And everyone that I looked had the same price. And then hubby comes from out of the back kitchen, telling me that "No today is upday!" I said "whatintheactualshit is Upday?" As soon as I took a picture of the menu and told her I'm going to write a review. She said, "okay, okay I give you 8.95" as listed. I said "no no kiki" and walked out.

Now, let me tell you if I opened up that menu and saw it listed as $10.95 I would have paid because I was starving, and it's been a minute since I've had shrimp Fried Rice. But the fact that they were legit, trying to play me and make up their own day of the week to screw people over...

4/14/2025 I wanted to give a shout-out to this restaurant. We ordered here yesterday and the food was fantastic, again! Thank you New Garden!

We've been going here for probably 10+ years. The first few times we tried different dishes but settled on our two favorites: sesame chicken with lo mein noodles lunch combo and the chicken and broccoli with fried rice lunch combo. We love their eggrolls, so we often order more of them. The food is always fresh, hot and awesome! Occasionally If we are shopping nearby, we have eaten in the restaurant; however generally we order our meal for takeout and it's still very hot when we get home about 10-12 minutes later. I travel, and each place I go I sample the local chinese food. I looked at each location and chose this one. When I walked in and seen the old guy working old school Woks o knew it would be decent. Reviews said "try the house special lo mein". I did, and what a FANTASTIC dish. Good noodles, great fresh vegetables, and high quality pieces of meat. Not like some places where the meats are of poor quality. I also had the crab rangoon, and they were decent but did not come with a sauce to dip.
